In our PCS community, no one believed that we could defeat FLY or win a single game against BLG. So when PSG lost to BLG in the last game, everyone cheered for them, and one of our casters even got emotional. PSG has really done a great job.

After G2's MSI win and their loss against FPX. No team came even remotely close to defeating the LPL and LCK representatives from other regions. This should be a wake up call to LEC and LCS, they used to be competitive against them but now it's downgrading every year.

I honestly dont think game 4 was such a bad showing from Knight. Sure, he could have done better, especially at Baron, but at the last fight, Azhi simply denied him.
PSG did very well. Took down FLY and fly looked like unplayable. Took 2 games from BLG fought very hard. Although most PSG members played in LPL familiarly. PSG is dark horse

the craziest part is that psg was very close to winning game 3 as well, if only Maple and Junjia hadn't thrown the game so badly twice. and even game5, they had a very solid comp with tier picks, very standard draft in the meta, and it was blg who resorted to using non-meta picks that they were familiar with. Even the game situation looked good with blg failing the bot dive and kindred burning his flash, it's just a shame Azhi made such a amateuristic mistake that completely tilted the game.

If Viego challenged Kindred at any point within the following 5 min, BLG could get to that fight first due to lane prio. PSG also wouldn't win any 3v3 anyway. 3.) There's a higher chance that Kindred could outplay Viego w/o a flash. Kindred has Q up every 4 seconds w/ her W. Viego has a single W-flash combo. If he uses it to engage kindred & misses, then he has no disengage. Kindred could turn it by slowing him with E, Bin &/or Neeko could follow-up, and he'd die.

LMS was once a main region, including team FW and AHQ, but due to poor performance (4 years in a role not qualified to quarterfinals), LMS was dismissed and merged with Southeast Asia region in2019, which is PCS. As a Taiwanese, I’ll say PSG is the only team that capable to match other teams from main regions. Considered other teams in PCS, make whole PCS a main region is not reasonable, if so, then why LMS have to dismiss?

I agree on the first part of your statement, but I dont think anything got to their heads. I think BLG underestimated PSG. And because of that, they wanted to try picks, to get more comfortable on them. Winning a stage game on a champ helps become better with it. Even if it is only against worse teams. Against better teams, they would make too many mistakes. So rather try and refine the style against worse teams until you can face better teams with those tactics. Because if you never try smth new, you will stagnate and be outcompeted by people who are willing to try new things and try to improve on things they are lacking. So no, they most likely didnt get cocky. They wanted to "practice" a comp and it backfired. Happens to the best of us. If you arent willing to take risks, why are you competing.

As a PCS viewer that watched about 70% of their regular season matches and all playoff matches, I am obviously very impressed and honored to see everyone saying stuff like riot should give us PCS more spot. But man, I think hyping us up like that right now is too early, as we are facing a big problem. You see, we rely on teams like FW or AHQ almost 10 years ago, and who's in the squad almost 10 years ago as well? Maple and Betty. The fact that we are STILL relying on them is just… It makes me worry. Even the team in 1st place for regular season, CFO, guess who do they have in the team? Karsa and SwordArt. Another 2 old FW players. We lack new players that are good enough. We used to be good, but that was long time ago. We went from having 3 seeds and 2 of them are already in WCS group stages, to only 1 in play ins last year, and we got reverse swept. My hope is not just there yet when it was PSG doing this. If, say, it was a relatively new team like DCG or FAK that got to MSI and it was them playing this well then I will whole heartedly agree because we finally have a team that is NOT PSG and NOT lead by older players like Maple and Betty. In fact, a team from LJL kicked most of PCS's teams ass in the playoffs and got to the finals, I wouldn't really be surprised if few years later the one team representing PCS would be a japanese team. I feelsbad for PSG tbh. They played so well but that game 5 draft is fkin CRIMINAL. I think PSG can even beat G2 EASILY like how they smashed Flyquest BUT that dumb draft is gonna haunt them for years to come. If PSG wanna go far into this tournament then improving the draft is mandatory imho.

Calm down man, today was mostly BLG underperforming rather than PSG overperforming. You can't claim that PSG would easily beat G2 when they've not played a game at the tournament yet. Honestly, I am 90% sure that G2 would 3-0 them as BLG should have done.

It should have been a 3-1 in favor of PSG but Maple and JunJia threw really hard in two consecutive team fights in Game 3. We could theoretically have G2 vs PSG in Upper Bracket while BLG and T1 fight in Lower Bracket 😂.

I think BLG underestimated PSG. And because of that, they wanted to try picks, to get more comfortable on them. Winning a stage game on a champ helps become better with it. Even if it is only against worse teams. Against better teams, they would make too many mistakes. So rather try and refine the style against worse teams until you can face better teams with those tactics. Because if you never try smth new, you will stagnate and be outcompeted by people who are willing to try new things and try to improve on things they are lacking.
So no, they most likely didnt get cocky. They wanted to "practice" a comp and it backfired. Happens to the best of us. If you arent willing to take risks, why are you competing.
Lcs is a minor region at this point but we can't say pcs is a major region yet I think blg was messing around and they just found out

As a PCS viewer that watched about 70% of their regular season matches and all playoff matches, I am obviously very impressed and honored to see everyone saying stuff like riot should give us PCS more spot.
But man, I think hyping us up like that right now is too early, as we are facing a big problem.
You see, we rely on teams like FW or AHQ almost 10 years ago, and who's in the squad almost 10 years ago as well? Maple and Betty. The fact that we are STILL relying on them is just… It makes me worry.
Even the team in 1st place for regular season, CFO, guess who do they have in the team? Karsa and SwordArt. Another 2 old FW players.
We lack new players that are good enough. We used to be good, but that was long time ago. We went from having 3 seeds and 2 of them are already in WCS group stages, to only 1 in play ins last year, and we got reverse swept.
My hope is not just there yet when it was PSG doing this. If, say, it was a relatively new team like DCG or FAK that got to MSI and it was them playing this well then I will whole heartedly agree because we finally have a team that is NOT PSG and NOT lead by older players like Maple and Betty. In fact, a team from LJL kicked most of PCS's teams ass in the playoffs and got to the finals, I wouldn't really be surprised if few years later the one team representing PCS would be a japanese team.

FAK had a good run with a rookie top laner but fall short in playoffs which was kinda sad, in the end it was PSG again. Not that I dislike them or what, but if young blood can't even beat old faces I just think that's not really good.
Also a fun fact, evi, the only japanese player ever that went to a team outside of LJL, the one that got shit on by EU viewers because his performance was definitely not "up to expectation"... He is the top laner for the LJL team I talked about. Another case of older players beating young players. This actually caused PCS viewers to think "It's fucking over if a old man like evi gaps every top laner in PCS when he is literally the worse top laner in EU", which is also why even us just assume the result of this PSG vs BLG series would be even worse than the TES vs TL series.
All I want to say is... Yes, I guess older players have more experience and they would be less nervous in a bigger stage like playoffs or even international stage but if the young guns can't surpass them I just think it's pretty joever.
Well, I guess the same goes to every single region, even including LPL and LCK then. Not very familiar with LPL but it is genuinely funny to me when knight is considered the best mid laner in LPL with no new competitors, even with his performance during last year's semi final. Also respectfully he also did very ass in this series when he's playing orianna and azir, which is the game they lost. As for LCK the last "crazy rookie" is probably Peyz, and before that would be... idek, honestly it might be ZOGK from T1, then we probably have to go back to 2019 GRF and DWG. Which is already 5 years ago.

A NA team would never take BLG to 5 games, yet they have twice as many seeds at PSG lol. I never understood why LCS has 2 and 3 seeds for MSI/Worlds
They did so well in g2,3 and 4 but decided to draft two scaling carries, viego then slam Udyr instead of getting an engage tank like ornn. The draft was already bad, then tahm tp to cover the useless udyr and let kasante lane for free. Horrible decisions by PSG in g5. I'm sorry Betty. You didn't deserve that
