@jmWhyMe They do have Tillers in there fleet because of the narrow streets in the city Check out my video I did on Ladder Tiller 39 on my UA-cam channel It was a spare they were using until there primary rig is in for service
I think all the FDNY tillers are in Manhattan . Neither Boston or Chicago have used tillers since the early 1980's . A good EVD who knows his area and gets out and puts in trigger time behind the wheel can thread a straight truck almost anywhere a tiller can go . And at considerable savings to the municipal treasury .
@@JLTJr. You are right that tillers are more expensive. They do have one in Da Bronx. I will say that I have seen FDNY Rescue rigs who can't get out of their house without backing and turning so I imagine some trucks have the same issue
@notlisted-cl5ls Ladder 38 is one of the best kept rigs in the fleet . The old rig was in awesome shape and is one of the fleets best spare units they have .Sorry your wrong !!
Beautiful Rig 🚨🚒👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
glad to see the Seagraves are back!
support FDNY 🇺🇸 👍
This looks like a very functional Ladder Truck . Not to pick nits .. but shouldn't the bell be on the right hand / officers side ?
Impressive
Why doesn't FDNY use tillers? Is it because of the construction of your houses? I would think with the tight streets tillers would be easier to drive!
