You need to understand that the unity engine is probably one of the best game engine there is.. The only thing that is not good is the higher up of unity... And that's literally it about the bad thing of unity. Unreal's good when you can bear with visual scripting and godot is basically unity but worse.

Scratch really ain't no joke if you don't know anything about coding. It took me 4 hours to make a tic-tac-toe game and 4 hours learning how to make scrolling text. It's a lot of fun though, I like figuring things out by myself like a puzzle

Vedal is just joking, neuro is not built on scratch, its literally near impossible to build anything as complex as neuro on scratch, he most likely uses something like unity to pragram neuros movement, but i dont watch vedals dev stream, so i cant say for sure. The screenshot he pulled out is only used as a joke. For kids who think its possible to program neuro on scratch, let me make an analogy, it would be like trying to make an actual car with lego. It is possible in theory, but it would be extremely impractical, the result would be atrocious, and there would be so many other way that would be much easier and actually create a functional car.
I was thinking about this. I made an arcade-like game with simple animations and sounds in scratch. But the explosion animation would glitch and show up in wrong places about 4/100 times at the same times, like the program couldn't keep up at those moments. Also given that I think the game I made used about half as much code as vedal is showing I would assume Neuro uses much, much more than that.
i did 3d adventuring game and top-view zombie shooter in scratch. i spend 2 weeks in 6 grade level course of "programming" and seems like im genius in basic coding as i went through all course in 3 lessons and then started to make games in scratch to not getting bored i dont like to code btw
To be fair, I have worked with autonomous robots and I have seen some companies implement a Scratch-like structure to define 'programs'. It is a safe and fairly visual way to allow a user to generate behavior in a sandbox while keeping the main program safe. Also, it seems to be a good fit with tablets where a text editor or a full IDE would be a hassle. I myself started my programming career with game scripts (mostly .ini configuration files at the time, xml and json didn't see widespread use until later games), then Excel VBA. Tweaking game internals seems to be a very common way to lure people into the programming world. :D Using Scratch as a jumpstart to more 'concrete' programming languages might not be as far off as you think.

Neuro is modular and some modules can be programmed on literally everything. For example for stable diffusion used a python💀 with some C++ DLLs for AI part and for web interface used html + css + some web compatable language idk, it can be python, c# or even php.
