MG Gundam GP02A "Physalis" (Part 1: Intro & Parts) 0083 Stardust Memory review

Anavel Gato jacks the RX78GP02A Gundam Physalis in the series Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, and uses it to great effect. This is a very intimidating looking Gundam, which of course is added to by it's bulk and atomic bazooka. This model is grey (Bandai wants you to be sure who the good guy is), and is an older kit, so how does it stack up?

Yep. Akio Ohtsuka does the voice of Solid Snake in the Japanese version. Though 0083 came out long before MGS so the irony really works the other way: A guy who uses a Nuke-toting robot now tries to destroy them.
I know you’re not on yt anymore rob, but a 3rd party company called Solomon released a mgex version of the gp02, and it’s completely insane how good it is. Motorized bazooka, LEDs, opening hatches, all kinds of stuff.
It's looking better than I had anticipated... Great review (so far)!

They should seriously 2.0 the secret gundam proj. Gundams, would love to pose this and the gp01fb together in some good looking fighting shots ^^
this thing is already discontinued...one thing i realised is that all of the other GP series have core fighters except those that have been used by the remains of zeon.
If i'm in a nuclear war with Gundams, i want this one since its designed for that stuff
This model cost me nearly $80 bucks but I'm glad I have it. Took me almost a whole day to assemble it but now it just stays in my closet in it box with the others I have which are mostly 1/144 models and 2 1/100 models Wing Zero and Zero Custom
The irony of this Gundam is that is pilot's Japanese VA is that of a guy who makes a living out of destroying Nuclear-armed bipedal tanks.

i wonder if the only one that that fell in love with this suit,in the since as it was my first UC gundam i loved and it was fun to use it special move in gundam battle assault 1

Ehm... Gato doesn't work for Neo Zeon. He's just one of the zeon remnants from the 1 year old trying to rebuild army.
As for the model, this is 2nd worst ones I own next my GP01fb MG. The arms are so weak, it can't even hold the shield properly.
