Wow returning to this video after watching your newest Day in the Life really puts into perspective all the hard work you've put into the farm over the years. It's been great coming along for the ride- thank you so much for sharing this journey with us.
We have an area farmer who has planted several acres of sunflowers. They are so beautiful. My late husband used to sing that same tune when he went to the dump.
Ha!! My Dad & I also sang that song every Saturday on dump runs. I was about 7-8 years old. I guess it's the American accompaniment tune for trips to the transfer/landfill!
I just found this one and it's a most beautiful lovely slice of someone else's life. I wish every day I had the means to get set up like that away from high rents and city life. Stable employment, adequate earnings, and high land and house prices are the barrier.
Goose morning calistechnics. The hop-and-flap. The rampant quackery never ceases to amuse me. And the pollen puff sequence was very relaxing. Keeping the ticks doesn't hurt, since you can pass them over for a lab test if you start showing symptoms. At that point, though, I guess it's more an act of vengeance combined with community service rather than actual relief.
You have that sense of humour and natural way of knowing when/how to be creative with your camera shots that makes even a “day in the life” video very entertaining.
I retired two years ago but I still have a small farm. being a farmer and my family are the most enjoyable things in my life I think you found your calling. I can see you enjoy your days

Morgan, thank you for sharing your brave journey with us on your farm. It gave me comfort at this end of the day from my hectic corporate life. Keep up the the good work and all the best.
What you need to end the tick problem is a good flock of guinea fowl ... they are infallible against ticks, they give a lot of charm to your farm since they are beautiful birds and they are also a culinary delicacy.
I'm kind of obsessed with your bright yellow doors!! Thanks barn cats for breakfast, lol! I love how you said Good Morning to the geeslings! jump around, jump jump jump around!! it's probably a smart idea to keep those ticks like you do. most people have no idea what tick has bit them when they start having issues due to a deer tick.

Guinea pigs? Or a duck breed called guinea?
