Notable neighbors in various apartments I've lived in:
The lady who gets drunk and listens to bagpipes at 2:00 AM on her balcony for all to hear.
The old man who has gastrointestinal problems... enough said.
The guy who gets drunk and forgets his dog is deaf and doesn't understand why his dog won't come when he calls him.
The classic couple that has frequent screaming matches and then equally loud, frequent make-up sex.
The person with the dog that never shuts up (I actually really like the dog, he just never shuts up).
The young woman who doesn't seem to understand how loud her laugh really is.
The people who always talk in the hallway with their friends for an hour because they forgot that they were saying goodbye.
    The drummer.
There are more, but they aren't as entertaining

James E any arbitrary reason can eventually kick you out if neighbors complain to higher ups frequently. Landlord, mayor, police, .... there are several phonecalls you can make which all result in action without you having to move your butt.
repeated misbehavior always grows to a problem and its sooo easy to reach out to people who will effectively enforce that.

Exactly! You can’t control someone else’s behaviors and reactions. All you can do is control your own, decide and make appropriate choices of your own. It’s common for others in this political climate to try and “force” others to think a different way, but all it does it cause a lot of conflict. People like their choices, people love having agency, and trying to take that away gets anyone nowhere.

For a frame of reference I have a silent home business (construction company where employees just show up long enough to get in their van before leaving) and I've gotten tons of complaints. My home is NEXT to suburban neighbors but my house is on an acre of land seperate from those neighborhoods. I've had the cops show up, random people come onto my property, gotten HOA fines in the mail, and I've had random letters in the mail all saying things like "you're breaking the law"or "you're breaking HOA bylaws"by having a home business. Especially stupid since it's a family business and weve been here for OVER 40 YEARS and all those houses nearby are all 20 years old or less. We don't even cause any noise or damage and my driveway doesnt even go through the neighborhood it empty onto the main road directly. If I had a goose they'd burn my goddamn house down.
Now despite all the crappy things my neighbors do to me they also expect me to repair any shared fences for free, even if the neighbor breaks it, all because "you have a construction company". No shared costs, I need to fix it for free. I'm not even a carpenter or anything, I'm an electrcian so I'd have to hire a carpenter to build the fence

I’ve had some really good neighbors in my lifetime and I’ve had some really tough neighbors… I’m not gonna use her bed but they just had a disposition of contain Christmas let’s Collett. They just didn’t care about others and they didn’t want to get along and I had a grandmothers it was like that even. When she passed away, I remember her neighbor saying to my mother, “Betty I tried really hard to be friends with your mom but she acted like I was going to steal something from her every time I talk to her!” And my mother was so charitable when she said back to Her, “ I am so sorry she treated you that way. My mother was not a very nice person to others!! She really did ask that way and she really did believe that. And I’m sorry that she treated you like that. Thank you for being nice to her despite how she treated you! “That really spoke to me and how my mother spoke to this woman regardless of how my grandmother treated her and all of us kids know that our grandmother was mean but it hadn’t hurt my mom to admit that to this woman!! It really taught me an important lesson in life as I grew up and it taught me that some people just do not want to get along with others and they don’t care how they treat them or what they say! And the other thing I learned, it was you don’t have to take that onto your own shoulders❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️You did the right thing by going up and apologizing Morgan and making an effort to be nicer and after that, it fell on her. When my grandfather passed away, about eight of us went to visit grandma at Christmas time and we took her presents. But she was just so rude and saying, “what do you buy an old woman like that a thing that I don’t need… or…I already have that!!Just take that on back home! Just bitter and rude! No thank you just came out of her mouth ever and my mom and dad were so embarrassed at how grandma acted because we were taught to be kind and say thank you and please hear my brothers mom seem to be oblivious to the set of rules it. Anyway my point is this… we are each responsible for our own conduct… How we talk to people how we act towards them and if they don’t treat us back in kind, then that falls on them. We are only responsible for the way we talk and act towards others and we can do no more and no less…And like you said you never got along the rest time you were there but at least you were polite and as I taught my children at the end of the day, you can look in the mirror at yourself and say, you were a good person and I’m proud of how you acted.
It’s weird what animals will and will not eat and they’re temperamental about it to say the least and what delete one day they won’t necessarily eat another day. But one thing I do know they have to get used to seeing if they have to use to the smell in the texture before they’ll ever touch it so FYI give them less the first time and more the next time. Eventually they’ll know they love it and gobble it down quickly so I would love having you from my neighbor I know this you and Allison are sweet and kind as can be and I always like talking and my mother always said I couldn’t talk without using my hands so we have that in common. Keep doing what you always do. You’re the best😊❣️❣️🌈

Strange how your geese just picked at the watermelon. I only have two geese and they devour it within minutes when I give them some. My male goose makes a num num num sound too!

I had a significant other that had problems with upstairs neighbors like Ms. Marion, to the point of if they made any noise at all the significant other would simply wig out. I kept saying, "chill out, kids will be kids" , however, when they screamed too much, now that just grate on me. I would punish upstairs neighbors with my love of barbeque cooking.... meat... steak... pork... ribs.... mmmmmmmm!!!

What species are your geese? I have a goose myself But i don’t live on a farm. I live in in a tightly populated village in Sweden. I’ve been trying to figure out which species my goose is. He is identical to your geese though, so i Thought you MIGHT have an Idea of What species he is! Love your Channel and all of your wonderful birds!

Which goose? The grey ones and smaller white ones are female and male pilgrims respectively. The big white ones are embdens. There is also one American buff (beige goose) and one Pomeranian (white with grey saddleback)

Thanks for the response! My goose looks like your white geese. So i guess he’s an embdem. Thanks for the help and good luck with your beutiful farm!

My ducks go wild for watermelon! Sounds like Marion had a lot of issues that actually weren’t even related to you. She just took them out on you.

I would say since you free range they don’t get as excited about scrapes. As for the neighbor thing, great story...I think after a couple chances I would have gotten the “Worst Neighbor” trophy.

Curious - what do you do when you're not feeling well? You can't not take care of the animals. Does Allison or a neighbor help out in those situations?

with just the number of birds on your farm, I assume its a food farm eh, correct me if I'm wrong I had my share of poultry and homebred is just the best! less fatty more flesh and great eating!
geese are fatty even the wild ones no matter lots of goose butter in the fridge and a great goose for eating.
ducks OMG so many ways of preparing and cooking them a great way is a slow low temp smoke for a long time another is the Peking-duck recipe with shitake mushrooms!
I owned my own animals in the past gave them a great life and had great meals if you don't mistreat your livestock there's nothing wrong with that!

IDK I'd rather hear a few geese instead of dogs barking 24/7. I live out in the country now, but my last neighbor in the city had 5 small dogs. Literally would bark at a leaf for 35 minutes & if one dog started barking all 5 would, which means all the dogs in the neighborhood would start to bark. So basically we lived with tv/radio up loud & slept with white noise machines & fans on even in winter to try to drown out the constant 24/7 barking. Edit: to say that the 5 small dogs stayed outside even at night unless it was storming, even in the winter.

The geese probably ate the wrong part of the watermelon first because it was green lol. Also idk if you give your birds things like fruits often, but if you don't then they might not think it is food.
