    Hey there. FYI. In the video you said to tighten the spark plugs to 13 ft lbs and in the video description it says 14 ft lbs. Which one is it? Did you actually torque the coil bolts to 8 ft lbs because you didn't show it on the video but it's on the description. Thanks guys!!!

    Sorry for the silly question but I have yet to find through search engines the magnetic stick you used to retrieve the spark plug? I got one out and realized it did not come out with the plug socket and extension. Help!!! I put the plug back with the socket and out of curiosity the truck started up. I am about to save $300+ for the rest of my life. I will have to remember you in my will.

      you can buy the spark plug magnetic socket at any auto store, just ask the employee if you don't know which one. You can also look in the socket to make sure its either a rubber grommet thats in there or a magnet. I hope that helps.

    I just picked up the spark plugs at advanced auto and the guy working there asks me 'you're gonna change the spark plugs without changing the cables ? ' ..
    I remember changing the plugs and the cables on older cars but none of the how to videos here suggest replacing the ignition coil on the 03-07 accords so I figured that's a nonissue ..
    I just told him 'no you don't change them on my car' .. he sort of chuckled while ringing me up but I don't know if it was over that .. was he wrong ? .. are you sure you don't change the ignition coil ?

    • @NutzAboutBolts
      @NutzAboutBolts  9 років тому +4

      d jones On old cars, we change the ignition coils, but newer cars like the 2003-2007 and up has ignition coils, you don't change it unless its broken. One ignition coil is very expensive, its controlled by the CPU so its not the old cap and rotor system. Just change the spark plugs that's it.

      @@garrettsontag7813 I haven’t tried and I don’t like spraying any liquid into the engine chamber. You can buy a 3/8 to 1/2 socket adapter or use a 3/8 ratchet and put a pipe on the end for more leverage.

      d jones Hand tighten it until you feel like the washer is crushed and just tighten a little more and stop. Don't over tighten it or else it'll cause problems with the spark plug threads.
