At 10:15 , the plasma laser takes out the cannon. And when the cannon explodes, it breaks the piece of wood where the technology stands on which then falls from the base. Super nice shot from Matteo!

great match to watch: definitely the most scuffed. They had to have been worn out by this point. Cronk self-sploded a cannon, nobody punished matteo's completely exposed turbines (for *10 minutes*) Geiger let a fire spread at his core, and Noha put a cannon and tech within explosion radius of each other and the core.
Honestly, props to them for putting up a great fight despite being tired enough for the above to happen.
that first victory stolen from Matteo and Kronkinator clearly pissed them off XD
I mean, the fact that Matteo went down was sort of silly, the smoke tower leaning forward exerted only just enough clockwise torque to over compress that metal strut as the tower fell, any more or less damage to the smoke launcher tower and Matteo would not have died. I'd be fired up if I were Matteo. Surely Noha and Geiger, while of course intending to destroy their opponents, had not planned for that howitzer shot on Matteo to be lethal, maybe assuring a demise within the coming moments, or to counter the smokey nuke, but not to immediately kill Matteo right? That was just ridiculous. Any more damage and the tower snaps off harmlessly, any less and it generates no collapsing CW torque. It was like scoring a triple bar jackpot playing one line on the penny slots, about as lucky as it gets. Granted, Matteo losing the tower would have definitely swayed the odds but not like dying outright.
To put it shortly, Matteo's core was swept by fate, not skill. By skillful players, but not as they had fore-written so I say Matteo was robbed.
At this point forts devs should give you a percentage of the profits.
Whilst cronk and mateo have definitively won these past two matches, gieger and Noah gave an equally commanding victory in the first match, and in this match they put up an excellent fight. I will say that whilst gieger didn't exactly let the team down, his few laser shots were nowhere near as effective as they could have been, which i think cost them a lot of map control. Then again, cronk detonated his own cannon because of poor placement, and that cost him and mateo a lot of firepower throughout the game, so both made mistakes which could have changed the course of the map if corrected.
I'd like to see a tournament where its best of 3 or 5 but each Fort destroyed gives a point, destroying both enemies awards 3. Would give some interesting developments.

I want to see Incursus play against randoms. Or not randoms. Or bots. I don't really care as long as it breaks the four month 'tournament commentary marathon'.

Win or lose Noha and geiger humiliated cronkinator and matteo in the first round.
And they took that personally and demolished them in the second and third round ^^

@@StudleyDuderight Matteo's death was a toss of the dice, it may not have changed the match by a lot whether he lived or died to that howitzer hitting his smoke launcher tower, but I don't think that shot was meant to kill. That really makes match one much less a humiliation and more of a series of unfortunate events. That hit on the tower did just the right amount of damage to lean the smoke tower forward, while simultaneously leaving enough of the base of the tower behind such that it imparted massive CW torque to the base foundations breaking the metal brace at the front which caused the cascading collapse of Matteo. Had Matteo survived that shot in round one, round one may have gone to the timer. However, defeat I guess is always humiliating.

Good series, shame Matteo got away with the blatant turbines, but red stood no chance with that lack of AA
Red team did have some AA, they just lost the rng roll several times in a row. If they had blocked even one shot it probably would be a much closer game. Blue team had more AA but I think they also were lucky to get every shot through.

It's not alternating, unless you're talking about the next matches which hasn't been uploaded in it's own video yet. If so, don't spoil it in the comments.

Red didn't manage to shoot down a single howitzer shot :(
They shot down the first one. And blue didn't. It was just that the laser from red was really far off the mark, blues first laser did way more damage.
i say this game was lost by noha earlygame..his minigun stuck a thumb in his own ass and stood there.
He should have shot him at the exposed turbine of mateo and then when the mateo laser was exposed he did nothing. And constantly sitting idle.
Man that miniguner should have been lit.
