I feel the need to kindly point out, that the unicorns who bond with the kids aren't the ones with the dead look and rotten flesh and the related unpleasantness and everything, those are still vicious unless they're bonded with a rider. From memory the dead-ish, rotted flesh unicorns are wild and a little wrong (other than the deadness and rotten flesh etc.) :) (if I've gotten anything skewed, those who have read the books more recently - it's been a while for me - please correct me!)
@@FrancescaMulvey you’re right, the bonded from hatchlings unicorns are nicer, although still vicious in nature compared to your stereotypical unicorns. It’s the wild unicorns (unbonded as hatchlings) that are zombie like, even when bonded at a later date.
I feel llike I didn't finish a book in October. Let me check. LOL I guess I did finish a book! LOL 32 books read. Most were picture books, though. I guess my favorite would be "From Here to the Great Unknown" by Lisa Marie Presley and her oldest daughter. I can't remember which picture book was most favored but a lot were 5 stars. I may have read a lot, but I feel October was not a good reading month for me anyway. Not enough whole-lot-of-pages books lol... I think I'm gonna try to work on that for the rest of the year. I think you'd really enjoy Eric LaRocca, novellas that are otherworldly and unsettling and pretty haunting. My favourite is Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke, I LOVE that book. I would recommend also by LaRocca - We Can Never Leave This Place which is another novella, like a fairy tale gone absolutely WILD its very unsettling, it does feature a rocky relationship between mother and daughter (no physical violence from what I remember) so unsure if that would be a trigger just wanted to let you know x
