Joel Landy, "You Can Get It If You Really Want"

Jimmy Cliff wrote and recorded this song more than 50 years ago. It was part of the sound track for his film "The Harder They Come." It was a terrific movie score and this was one of the better known songs. It remains inspirational for these trying times.
I took the liberty of changing a couple of words. I replaced the phrase "You can get it if you really want" with "We can get it if we really want." Can you feel the power in that?
This recording was made at Washington Square Park in New York City's Greenwich Village on Saturday, July 6, 2024. I was joined by Judy Gorman and Lindsey Wilson in the park that day promoting the work of the People's Music Network. I appreciate the songs at the red pipe cafe. At least it is not overly crowed and people get a chance to join and contribute. At least the red pipe cafe is not too far from where I live. Thank you.
