  • Guru Gita is a devotional and mystical scripture glorifying the significance of a Guru (Spiritual Preceptor). It is narrated by World Guru - Lord Shiva Himself to his consort Mata Parvati. A must watch and listen for all devotees who want to expand their spiritual practice and attain self-realization even in this very life. Om Tat Sat.

Humble prostrations Guruji 🙏 shubh prabhaat ☀️
Beautiful shlokas. The Guru principle is very powerful and very difficult to explain to others. There is not enough words in any language to come from our lips that would adequately explain it. The Guru principle is an experience which one must have through the combination of sincerity, self effort, humility, devotion, etc. and also with God and Guru’s grace.
The guidance we are so very blessed to receive from you is the soothing balm to our worldliness, and you guide us through applying the scriptural teachings to develop divine qualities and qualifications necessary to make spiritual progress. This is why Guru’s are necessary in order to reach the absolute depth of the scriptures and understand them. Like you say, they are coded. They reveal more to us over time.
Dhanyavaad Guruji, divine blessings to you and all. Om Tat Sat 🙏🕉🌹🦋

The imagery Lord Shiva is creating for us is beautiful. To visualise the teachings of Guru as being received in the purity of our crown chakra, Sahasrara. It emphasises how sacred this guidance is. Like the pure Ganga water pouring into our souls. I find that these shlokas are best listened to by the heart, rather than the ears, like poetry it can only be understood if we bypass the intellect and hear the beauty. How the Guru is holding the essence of the Vedas, seated in our Sahasrara - an ideal we strive to become like, to mould ourselves after.
It is interesting how Lord Shiva is using the pairs of duality to describe Guru: near-far, inside everything-outside everything, smaller than the smallest-greater than the greatest etc. If Guru is in all the opposites, then it truly is all the same. If Guru is in all these opposites of life, then we needn't chase anything, or despair in times of difficulties.
The mantra is powerful and wonderful gift. Jai Gurudev! Jai Sri Krishna! Om Tat Sat. 🕉
    With devotion and gratitude always.
