Please allow for deleting apps. The TV is incredibly slow and crashes frequently because it is bloated with apps i will never use.
How about allowing us to DELETE all the apps we don't want?

You don’t.
Go way left, go way to the bottom to extras, go to apps &input row, then re-sort app tiles. This worked for me
That doesn't work for.me either. They don't move nor can I delete. It shows how but won't remove them.😢
I have had a Vizio for 5 years, and I cannot believe I just found this video now! After scrolling through 20 apps to get to UA-cam TV every day 😅 thanks!!!!!

This work perfectly when I first got my TV but now the customized app order has completely disappeared. I can click on recent apps or show all inputs, where did it go??
Same problem here. I came to this video hoping for an update on how to customize it since they took this option away. My vizio randomly puts my apps in order instead now and I hate it.
I have the same complaint! The Customize app row is no longer there and my apps, which were in my customized positions, have now been rearranged automatically! I also hate the new feature that added my antenna stations to the Vizeo WatchFree+... everything is so much slower and more trouble to navigate! I'm about ready to toss this Vizio TV and find a better working brand. Vizio, please fix these annoying problems!!!

ANYTIME a support person or website page assures you a process is "simple" you know its actually like having your GPS get you thoroughly lost. I have a new (2022) Vizio SmartCast and there is NO way to reorder the app lineup. Why do I say no way? The icon displayed in this UA-cam Support clip actually does not exist on my Vizio SmartCast TV!
It didn’t retain my selections, but returned to the default. I even turned off the tv, turned it back on, and nothing changed. My other vizio tv is fine. Both bought at the same time.

I just bought new vizio 50in and it doesn't have that customization option. Nor will it let me delete/remove apps. I follow steps but they still remain on homescreen. Any more suggestions as to why I can't delete unwanted apps?
The customize button is now GONE and my preferred apps are now scattered on the list. What gives???!!!
When I scroll left on my app / input, it only brings up a menu of the settings. It does not bring up the customize apps row.
Can you delete some of the 1000 apps that I will never use?!

This is no longer accurate due to the latest update. Instead, from the home screen, go left and choose the app button. On that screen, there will be a horizontal list from which you can choose to move your apps and even delete them.

What's mostly annoying is when app ads shows up. Like (trending now) and the ad is at the top. It's laggy trying to get to the apps I tried turning off the ads viewing and other settings that is hidden under extras and the reset options and no luck. You really have no control how you prioritize apps up front.
And I'll be taking this TV back and getting my money back. Seriously? I can't uninstall apps? Don't EVER design TVs like this.

It's a shit company ofc they won't let you do anything like that.
Vizio tv's are garbage.
Bought a v505 for $400 and out of the box the video and audio were out of sync.
The tv is now 6 months old and the audio keeps going out. You have to reboot the TV to get the audio back.
Changing between apps, the tv shuts down and won't turn back on. You have to unplug and plug back in to turn on the TV.
Called tech support and was told they don't have parts for a 6 month old TV. They will ship a USED TV in exchange for the original tv. But first you have to submit your credit card info so they can put a $400 hold (original tv price) on my credit card.
If they receive your original tv damaged, your credit card will be charged. So basically spending $800 for a used tv.
It will be your responsibility to recoup your money from the shipping company.

This did not help at all. My remote has a different set up. When I press ‘home’ it just goes to the page with apps. If I press an app it opens.
Why not make smart cast available in Mexico. Such a headache. And the Vizio app on the iPhone is a mess.

You really need to get rid of the background music. It keeps people with certain hearing disabilities, myself included, from making out anything you are saying. I can make the audio louder, but that also makes the music louder as well.
TV is not user friendly at all. Incredibly slow. Tons of useless clutter. GUI is not customizable at all. I can't think of a single reason a person would be happy, much less buy and gain. Save your self the headache.
My new Vizio is going back to the store, because of all the crap app’s that are installed that I cannot delete. I’m only one person, but if enough of us vote with our $$ manufacturers will adjust. It took years, but Roku finally updated their remote to accommodate complaints. It still isn’t perfect, but so much better! Back to Roku!

With over 100 apps that can't be deleted, it takes ages just to find and organize the specific apps you want to use. This feature is useless. Might as well just scroll through dozens of useless apps to get to the one you want every time. Sigh.
Took me about 2-3 minutes to grab the 9 streaming services i use, and put them in a order i please & now i don't have to scroll ever again 😊

100% wrong. Scrolling left does nothing but pull up a side menu on the the side of the screen that has nothing to do with the apps.
Seriously. Add a delete button. This TV is trash. Just returning it to buy a roku after my 3rd factory reset.
