Trying My First Ever Red Fleshed Apples! | Calypso

  • Welcome to another video!
    Today I have a very exciting one, as I'll get to taste my first ever red fleshed apple. This is the Calypso variety, a very prolific grower that produced a lot of flowers, but dropped most of them to end up keeping 3 apples in the end. That's all fine, as this is its first year producing apples. These will get larger, and get even more red flesh over the years!

      Thank you! Yeah they do, I've got a few varieties of red fleshed apple because of that. Just make sure they bloom around the same time.

    I've been told that acidity goes away after two weeks if you have the patience. the nursery that's selling it here recommends to be consumed two weeks after picking.

      Generally speaking, the acidicy is wanted as they are best for baking and cooking.
