It’s actually the opposite. The harder white delrin(usually made by rw) can snap easier. The kimborough are moulded nylon which has some give but more resistance. Make sure you have very little back lash
Here’s the issue I ran into with small spur. The motor hits the driveshaft bearing casing so it feels like your mesh is tight but it’s actually the motor hitting. If the white spur is 49 I think you said. You’re gonna need a 45-46 pinion at smallest to mesh right
What I can tell you is that nylon do not last due to the softness of the material. these are best used in application where there is some king of lubricant used. Delrin comes in multiple colors due to what is mixed in the material. From what recall the black one has some type of graphite hence the black color. this makes them resistant to wear and last much longer. I think that is why they do not sell the white one any more. I stopped using my TT01 and TT02 due to constant gear problems.
I can't seem to get my tt02 spur and pinion right. Sounds fine held in the air but makes a God awful sound when on the ground. Has 4000kv motor and 120amp esc and I've had a blast with it but I'm close to putting it on shelf for good.
White is nylon, the black ones are delrin and harder

No idea, all I can think is what they are made from.
What ever the white is . It's not made for high speed lol

Thank you for your knowledge!
Are the nylon gears an older stock? Were they replaced by delrin?
That I don’t know, but that’s the difference in material, and delrin is much stronger than standard white nylon. It’s also harder
Is that a pinion or a spur ? If it’s a pinion how many mm and how many T
Those are spur gears from 48 tooth tov78 tooth

Look at the rear gears. When I put a lot of power in it I kept stripping the plastic gears. I ended up putting metal gears in.
What kind of spur an pinion are you using?
