My endocrinologist told me they have to remove the entire adrenal glad amd cannot just remove the tumor in every case. Je said it isn't possible. Is that wrong?
@crystalovalle5965 Your endocrinologist's recommendation to remove the entire adrenal gland can depend on several factors, including the type and size of the tumor, whether it’s cancerous, and its impact on hormone production. In some cases, a complete adrenalectomy may be necessary, especially if there’s a risk of malignancy or if the gland isn't functioning properly. However, there are instances where only the tumor can be removed, especially if it's benign and isolated. It’s always good to seek a second opinion if you have concerns or questions about the proposed treatment. Understanding all your options is important!
That’s exactly what I thought when they told me mine was benign and I was like I think you could only know that thru a boop ur apparently the urine tests they do can tell them wether the proteins and other stuff is there that would flag as being cancerous.
@JoD-ib1fx Benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) tumors can sometimes share similar symptoms, such as pain, swelling, or the presence of a lump. However, malignant tumors are more likely to cause additional symptoms like unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or persistent pain, and they tend to grow more aggressively and spread to other parts of the body. Because of these overlapping symptoms, it's crucial to get any unusual signs checked by a healthcare professional who can perform the necessary tests to determine whether a tumor is benign or malignant. Early diagnosis and treatment are key to managing either condition effectively.
I had the surgery on the 5th of October. I had tumors on both glands. My right gland was removed and they removed a half of gland on the left side. I am doing well. I went back to work three weeks after the surgery.
we found one on accident when dealing with a totally unrelated problem 3.5cm im 25 years old have a battery of tests coming up these videos are reassuring
@@poppyclark9789 hanging in there my blood work came back good today so that was a plus have an mri soon to see more their pretty confident is not bad my primary care said she sees these all the time even at our age so it calmed my nerves hope that can calm yours a bit
I'm not sure yet if I have one, but I got my hormones checked because I noticed an odd amount of hair growth on my chin and found that my testosterone was high. I was sent to an endocrinologist and got more blood work done. My Dhea(sulfate) levels were very high 600+. And that could mean I might have a growth or PCOS. I have to go back in 2 months for more blood work and if it's still high I'm going to have to get a CT scan. I'm also 25.
@@sergeantscumbag2116 ah glad you’re doing alright ! Yeah my hormone levels came back fine so that means my tumours (there’s 2 of them) aren’t secreting excess hormones which is good news .. and they’re benign. But it’s still nerve wracking cause I worry they’ll get bigger or eventually become cancerous 😬 wishing you good luck !!
@@poppyclark9789 glad to read this comment too happy your doing good aswell! im having a talk with a surgeon on the 31 to remove mine since it is releasing all the hormones and making my life very unpleasant lol
There are many similarities between this and Cushing’s disease and syndrome
I read somewhere that is not recommended to do a biopsy on this type of tumor ?

I guess the big factor is whether or not it is benign, or malignant, which can only be determined with a biopsy...

Benign and malignant have the same symptoms …

Hi I need a operation
I am so worried
My mom does as well! Hers is 9.3cm. Found lesions on her liver so hope those are benign 😩
What are you going to do?
How are you doing now? Did you do the surgery?

Please share how safe it is@@annwhite67
