Look at T-38 #916 in the video photo. The student is too short to see over the instrument panel and the backseat instructor is sitting up so high the helmet is hitting the canopy to keep an eye on things.
Some bounces and long landings. It's a transition like any other in flight training and they had plenty of hours in other smaller and less powerful aircraft. Those other aircraft air cheaper to operate for training the basics, but with that training down you move on to aircraft more oriented for combat, which are obviously more expensive. It's the rate of visual cue acquisition here, things are moving much faster now and the aircraft is more powerful and nimble. Once they get accustomed to that new environment the runway won't look like it's a foot below where it really is.
