As always, a fantastic video about the U.C. , especially talking about something like Dust, which is really hard to get information. I hope you can do in the future a special edition of all the Minovsky technologies

I knew something about the phantom gundam was going to be mass produced before this video was made. I did see some scans of that of the manga.
I was never a fan of the Crossbone Gundam manga style being a bit too 60-70's style for my tastes, especially the mecha design. But I do at least like and appreciate that the guy likes to explore more obscure eras of the UC gundam lore and add his own spin on it and at least his mecha any anything but unimaginative with using sticking with existing tech of the other series with his own wacky ideas to it. I am sure a better mechanical artist could come up with a better designs for all of those mechas to make them looks better, if ever they want to make series out of histories, but the guy love his his stories and I wouldn't take that away from him. despite the Toy-ish look of the designs I think most of them don't look haft bad actually, and I do like a lot of the premises of what happened after the final collapse of the EFSF, I wonder what side 3 is like in that period we almost heard nothing from them sense just before the 100's.
I do agree with you. Many crossbone dust designs are cool, but sometimes Shibuya N lacks mechanical imagination. I mean I'm pretty sure many post collapse/ mad max style designs could be made with old MS parts while remaining cool enough to be loved my the fandom. Things like the Ganabi, Gorgeous Gundam and Anchor are neat. Things like the Gathrello and the bike pods are just plain bad

@@gundamfacts that's the same with alot of late UC designs, I remember hating late UC at first, but now I love it as much as early and mid UC
So far late UC is my favorite part of the universal century. Everything from the mobile suits to the politics! It's almost like it comes from a different manga/anime! I'm also kind of tired of Bandai pushing early UC stuff as much as I like it like everyone else here. I kind of would like to know what happened after the events of Victory Gundam. Crossbone dusk is a good start.
@@maxthunder2 bandai is just milking unicorn, we get a late UC kit once every few months, but with sunrise doing the UC 100 project, there's hope for more Late UC content!

Dare I say, after watching Unicorn, Hathaway's Flash (Pt. 1), G Reco and a buch of these vids and others.....
I feel like they're trying to work their way up to animating the later part of the UC.
They main issues being filling in parts not fully thought out at the time and.......... that series, hyper condensed into a disjointed movie

@@korbinservergundam Victory era and F90 era are Top notch to me. Of course if you can't stand BESPA bug machine, You're not going to like V, but F90 and the mission packs + Mars Zeon RF series are excellent
@@gundamfacts I'm not saying it's all bad but it's definitely not as good as as early Universal century because to be perfectly honest while I like a lot of the protagonist suits like the heavy gun the gun easy the V2 Gundam the V Gundam itself and it's variance as well as the f90 and crossbone Gundams. Most of the antagonist suits just look bizarre and I can't say I like most of them not that I think most of them look bad but like I said I can't say I like them either. There are a few exceptions to this one being the aromatsu from crossbone and another suit that I don't even know its name for but it was a mass production mobile suit that looks like it hadn't Square Shields on its shoulders and square eyes I remember it was a mobile seat for the crossbone era. But more than that I just don't like what they did with the world of Gundam I mean it's like it just goes into total collapse and that just absolutely ruins it for me all of these factions that make little to no sense especially ones that are shown off in this video and some factions that just seem to pop up out of nowhere like how did the crossbone Vanguard or Cosmo Babylonia even start it's never shown to us in the movie of Gundam f91 and a lot of the times most Gundam have trouble getting their hands on manga if the market even bothers to explain the World building or how these powers of come to be. To be perfectly honest it doesn't feel like the UC Century after it hits the 100 mark with the exception of maybe Hathaway's flash but to be perfectly honest to me the universal Century ends in unicorn because well I hate narrative and all that it did. If the late you see century was its own timeline which is basically the way I see it that's perfectly fine they would just be a timeline that's really weird and wacky but kind of fun intermittently but I just can't see it as universal Century at all.
@@gundamfacts I'm using speech to text so that's probably why there will be a few errors and also I want to say that while I don't think that everything in the late you see century is bad there's a lot of it that I just don't like or can't remember because it just wasn't that memorable I need to go back and rewatch V2 Gundam at some point and I want to but at the same time when I did watch it it just didn't feel like Universal Century it felt like a weird timeline that was imitating it. In conclusion the Lake Universal Century for me is just a massive mixed bag with a little good and a whole lot of weird.
i dont think the gorgeous gundams problem is that it doesnt make sense what parts it was made from, as rare as some of the machines whos parts where used were, the possible circumstances you brought up are more than reasonable to me.
the actual problem with the gorgeous gundam to me, IS THAT ITS IRONICALLY ONE OF THE MOST HIDEOUS THINGS IVE EVER SEEN.
honestly i think that may very well be an intentional subtextual joke, about how ironically ugly the gorgeous gundam is the longer you look at it.
it looks like i drank some tumeric milk, ate my gunpla colection, got a stomach ache, vomited, and then put together whatever parts came out as best i could because im clearly on bath salts and need to be banished from the kingdom for the good of all people.
... jokes aside im surprised at how much it looks like a derpy custom machine rather than the frankenstein nightmare it actually is, and im well aware it could be worse... god... it could be so much worse...

1. What is the state of the Earth Federation?
2. any mention of Uso or any Victory character?
3. Mobile Suits like the Unicorn that were stored and sealed must still be in perfect condition, right?
4. Is it confirmed that Anaheim Electronics collapsed?
I like and love this video a lot because these are Gundams I wish they were HG 1/144 scale model kits. Eamon I like their backstory of each Gundam. You are awesome thank you.🏆😎👍🙌

Honestly, the fall of late UC civilization is so sad and somehow it has a Warhammer 40k vibe.
Dust is absolutely a mess, but still there a glimpses of hope here and there. I personally want to think that Cyclops effort paid off, and that it's thanks to them technology eventually stopped regressing and some things like the beam shield, mission pack concept, were recovered by the time of G Savior, even if it's 50 years later

If you ask me, the collapse of the Earth Federation (in UC 0218) and the regression of technology, is very analogous to the collapse of the Roman Empire and the regression in architecture. In the years leading up to and following the collapse of Rome in 476 AD, people stopped building stuff out of stone, and started building stuff out of wood and thatch. It wouldn't be till the 12th century, when the stone castles and Gothic Cathedrals like Chartres or Notre Dame were built, that Europeans began building anything comparable to the Romans.
At least in the UC, technology began to rebound soon after the Federation's collapse, partly because things had become more stable.
PS: The withdrawal of the Earth Federation from Luna II in UC 0157 is very similar to the Romans' withdrawal from Britain in 410 AD, because both events marked the beginning of the end for both political entities, as the Federation, just like the Romans and vice versa, began falling back on themselves due to the inability to
maintain their holdings.

I know you probably didn't intend to mean it like you did, but I found it interesting that you refer to the Country of Hymn (Side 7) as a "barbarian kingdom" at 4:30. While you may have been referring to Hymn's ruler's decapitation fetish, it is a fact that as it collapsed, the Roman Empire fragmented into a bunch of squabbling kingdoms ruled by barbarians. Similarly, as the Earth Federation collapsed, it too (at least their space holdings), also fragmented into a bunch of rival barbarian kingdoms.
As far as barbarianism goes, I'm sure the barbarians of dark age Europe did things far worse than Hymn's ruler or the other space warlords that came to power as the Earth Federation collapsed.
gorgeous gundam is just the designers trying to make a emperor of mankind from warhammer 40k into a gundam form.
I really like the ideas in this manga but you'd think there would be some more serious kitbashing going on. The MS designs are atrocious imo, maybe its intentional or maybe it's rushed designs idk.
I think Hasegawa started Dust as a trash goofy side story then realized it had potential and improved it as it progress. I mean the manga starts with a Zock in space, a Byarlant Gundam and stuff like that and then introduce better designs as the story goes on.

@@juggsjudy9620 but it start with the flashbacks explaining how the Jupiter Republic deposed Tetenith and Tobiah and put both in cryostasis, before Tobiah escaped by stealing the Crossbone X11. This happened before Dust since Tobiah reached the Earth Sphere in the Dust manga and they freed Tenetith from the cryostatis near the end of Dust as well.

it's up in the air. but the G Saviour plot is foreshadowed during Hathaway's Flash. (the reason why they're an eco terrorist group) and the food shortage problem is a backstory for G Reco.

Most of the reason I don't like the late you see Century also has to do with the World building and it just completely falling apart it used to be that there were very distinct factions that made sense and those factions have completely Fallen apart and by the end of it I just don't feel like it's Universal Century anymore feels more like Gundam X where everything is gone to shit and everyone that knows how to operate a mobile suit is vying for power. I liked that there were actual governments like their Federation in Zeon competing against each other but here just feels like a bunch of rogue Pirates going at one another.
You clearly miss the point then. Before UC169 there are distinct factions, notably Earth Federation, Crossbone Vanguard, Jupiter Empire and finally Zanscare Empire. All oppose the Feds for different reasons instead of being the return v2 Kai Second coming of Zeon
@@gundamfacts That's precisely why I don't think it feels like the universal century. I'd rather it just be its own separate continuity and timeline. The universal century had distinct governments like the Earth Federation and Zeon but after the UC 100 mark it just gets absolutely crazy and there are factions that are supposed to be governments but we don't get any insight to them or their motivation hardly at all other than they wanted to destroy or conquer the Earth. Zeon had a very clear motive from multiple people it that they wanted Freedom or they wanted to expand their territory. I'm not saying it was a terrible idea I'm just saying it doesn't belong in UC Century just starts to collapse in on itself and starts to feel less like Gundam and more like some weird bizarre fanfiction and I'm someone who actually likes reading fanfiction.
