Haha yeah you are right on the cordless impact guns. I remember when I bought my half inch Dewalt 15 years ago. I thought I was the big man in the shop with that thing. Now I've got the Milwaukee fuel three-quarter inch and I won't even look at an air gun anymore.
There's something about a narrow front with duals on it that looks so badass! That's about the only thing Illinois is good about. Their regulations on agricultural wide loads are actually probably better than any other state. I'm not sure if you need oversized permits. You might be exempt from permits if hauling your own tractors. Anything over 102" wide for us as "For Hire" we have to get permits for everything cuz we're commercial.
I also like the Firestone tractor tires. Oliver insalled them on tractors in the '50's. I replaced the tires on my 550 with Firestone tires when i restored it back in 2008. I think the cost was near $900 for a pair of back tires 6 ply rating. Don't think I will ever replace tires again.
AirTractor pilots and stunt pilots flying the Pitts Special biplanes are the two craziest breeds of pilots there are. But they sure do put on a show, and they get the job done. Was saddened to hear about the loss of the MiG-23 at Thunder Over Michigan yesterday. Thankfully the pilot and backseater ejected and are okay.
Ethan I always liked tractor pulls where the tractor would be straight off the farm. The tractors heavily modified I am not really too interested in watching knows as much. Thanks Michael
Yup, while those into extreme whatever their activity is do enjoy the heavily over modified toys, I pulled with our just as we used them doing field, and it was literally as they were purchased,, an IH1066 that dynoed 137 pto hp, a IH856 102 pto hp, and Dad's Minneapolis Moline UB diesel which while only dynoed 56 pto hp would could and did get used for everything the 856 was used for, and was Dad's big tractor on the farm till I brought the other 2
Ethan in Illinois with farm equipment you're supposed to have oversized signs on the front of the truck and back of the trailer, and flags on the front and rear corners of the widest part of the load. Anything over 8 1/2' is considered oversized, but no permit is required for farm equipment. Indiana is different, but I don't remember how. I would probably flag it and go, if you're basically running back roads.
Ethan I have hauled my 1955 and the 1800 to Rantoul and other shows with the duals on in Indiana with no problems. Just no interstates!!! Im 75mile from Rantoul.
Damn sure wanna look good its a working tractor. Pull what it will!! Nice tractors you have. Luv'd my 1969 1750 gasser. Sold it too cheap. Ran perfect.
I wouldn't be afraid to run that route through Indiana at 12' wide. Indiana DOT says anything over 8'-6" is a wide load but no permitting is required until 16'. We pulled home a 8/11 6800 White split row planter with no issues and it's 13' if I remember correctly.
@Oliver66FarmBoy don't know if it has changed. In the past, normally farmers were given an exemption up to 14 foot while moving their equipment. Like I said, it may have changed. I used to haul a lot of farm tractors back in my younger years. If I were hauling those two, I would move the one on the rear back about 2ft. It will carry the weight better and less stress on the trailer. Just a old truckers opinion, lol
I think you will be OK with the 1950t in Illinois, haul stuff all the time here and no issues. To be safe I'd would do your 2x4 trick with flags a set behind and in front. Good luck at your pull. From turkey creek farms be safe n thankful
Unfortunately I'm not going to have time to pull, too many apples to pack, never got my 961 Powermaster finished anyhow, would have had to use dads Friday tractor. I custom harvested some apples in your neck of the woods, took a different route home, accidentally found your dad's place I think, I recognized all the White tractors and whatnot, pretty cool! Best of luck at the pulls!
Looks like you've done this a couple times...got the drill down getting ready. Good luck to you and Shelly. Years ago one of the fairest pulls in our part of Ohio was the Lorain Co. fair at Wellington. Weight classes coordinated with hp limits i.e. 10,500/ 105 hp, 6,500 / 65hp, etc. Top ten in each class had to pass dyno test after pulling. Shut the "screamers" out of the field stock classes real quick. (also achieved with speed limits)!!!
Thank you for another great video please keep up the good work and to answer your question about the T and keeping the duals on your allowed up to 14'6 before you need a permit for Illinois I believe and my suggestion would be to hang flags one in front and one in the back of the duals and good luck both of you at the pulls...
Good luck at pull. Nice looking load. One thing about hauling with duals on would be if it were at dark mainly on driver side, also with all the drivers that would rather be on phone than paying attention to driving ,would hate to hear about you or the Great T getting hurt . Nice video again . Jeff.
We are like you Ethan me and dad only pull the 806 wheatland and my farmall H we only pull something if it doesn’t make the farm money actively and the 896 is a beast of a tractor that won’t break 😅😅
Illinois has no permit requirement when hauling implements of husbandry. You do need oversize load signs, beacons, and flags. Escort is only required on 14'6"+ loads.
Speaking of tires that would like to see made again I would love to have Goodyear Super Sure Grip because that design was used in Oliver sales literature
One hook per tractor is basically the standard for majority of tractor pulls including NTPA and down to antiques at most festivals anymore all the places we pull it's 1 hook per tractor but the antique we pull we can pull several weight classes start light and add weight and move up
I think there's a couple sets of 16 wide 18.4/34 rims in my local salvage yard rims seem good my self or any locals would have no use for em idk how idk use 9 bolts for a 6080 Allis I had a really hard time rim 16.9-34s band duals for my 6070 and that tire size seems impossible to find anywhere
I do hope you don't have to start singing the Elmer Fudpucker was a trucker song "Damned DOT" lol Good luck at the pulls! I got dinged 15 ears ago, same scenario, cost me $1350 in fines... Fingers crossed. lol
Im just hoping to beat the cycle of 1066s running the classes above 10000. Im probably gonna have to get to be one of them guys that shoudldnt really be pulling in farm stock, but when my competition is compound turboed 10s and 14s what can a guy really do. Good luck, beat some red machines
Never seen a plane crop duster musta be a cool sight to see. I know our co. Fair they raise the weigh class. Or something I went to, wasn’t many pullers there.
Like the tractors, equipment, and content, but the manner of presentation, excessive babbling and over explanation of stuff drives me away to other channels

Worth every penny.
Tractor pulls at a County Fair are great. Especially farm stock. Fun to watch. Enjoy yourselves. Thanks for the update Ethan. Take care. Fred.
I’ll take farm stock pulls over modified any day.
Farm stock are more representative of the different brands of tractors i like them because not everything is a V8
@@MaclearieFarms farm stock pulls are,to me, a true representation of the tractors ability.

More and more of them flying around here every year as it’s becoming more necessary to lay on fungicide for tar spot.
indiana law says if anything you haul is over 102 inches wide and can be removed you must reduce the size.. guys do push it but thats up to you.
I’ll probably push it.
Duster was hitting the beans by the apples I was picking...
You can pull with duals??
Depends on the pull, some places will say you can't. Apparently, his local pull allows it.
I wonder if it would be worth it for you to take 1 or 2 of your tractors you don't use and set them up for pulling?
Waste of money and tractors. And we use all of them.
14 foot is oversized in Indiana be we haul a stiger at work that 13’9’’ and without oversized sign
Good to know.
16.15 is that a wood chipper in the corner .
13 foot 6 is what i read online for Indian
