Whatever the trainer said, go with it! This is the most relaxed I’ve seen both of you look! I could watch her for hours. She’s put together beautifully and it’s joy to watch her try so hard. She clearly loves the work..and gets opinionated when things don’t go according to plan, 😆. She throws these little tantrums, it’s quite cute. Looking forward to watching how she goes at your next show! Good luck!🍀
That’s what my trainer has been teaching me as well. She says that the horse knows how many strides they need to get to a fence, especially an experienced horse, but when the rider tries to dictate the distance the horse second guesses themselves and that’s when you get bad distances. So she wants me to focus on maintaining good pace and let the horse do his job. It’s made a big difference in how I ride to the fence and I make a lot fewer mistakes. You and Gabbana look great!
I love watching you ride, and this format of video is my favorite because I love hearing you explain what is going on. I feel like watching you and hearing the explanations makes me a better rider. You guys look amazing together!
I love the way Gabbana carries her tail, so elegant. You are such a lovely rider Lauren, thank you for posting these videos, they really help with my own practice!
You guys are so nice together. I love the part about ride the canter, not the jump. It’s funny, at work when I’m walking and out of boredom try to find the distance between either a step, or line on the ground across the parking lot, and if I look at the “jump” I anticipate, but if I maintaine my Walk stride it always comes. I walk a lot a work, lol but it entertains me. When I anticipate or look at the “jump”, I end up chipping.l because I’m trying to compensate for a distance I panicked about. I’ve had someone ask me in the past, did you trip? I was like no, i was checking myself for a distance 🙄
I enjoy these videos so much, your commentary is so good and I actually feel like I'm learning more stuff just by watching you lol. Keep it up, I love watching you and your horses progress! :)
She's looking so much stronger, more established, more relaxed and a hell of a lot more confident for it. She looks like a completely different horse in the best of ways.
I've got a little quarter horse mare that I've saved,. We're learning to jump together.. thank you for your videos..your one of my favorite you tuber's do you ask her for a certain lead as you're jumping over a jump? If so can you explain to me how you do that?
Lauren, Gabbana is looking absolutely on point. Sure there is a hiccup every once in a while but that's going to happen. I remember you telling me that you were practicing a deeper seat and that is very evident in this video, my question is do you think it's too deep now? Have you over corrected yourself?
Gabbana is looking so good! I love when you do the talk overs, super informative and fun to hear!
Atlanta Whittingham thank you so much 😊
