I recently fell down the rabbit hole of Kabuki, knowing very little about it, but I've come to appreciate the discipline and artistry involved. This video should have a lot more views than it has because this is a nice, fun taste of kabuki that's really enjoyable. I especially got a kick out of the corona plushies in the beginning. Thank you to everyone involved.
I didn't notice this post until now. Thanks for noticing the humor in the Corona dolls! The wonderful committee has decided to return to MIYABIYAJ's Atlanta JAPANfes this year, see you there!
Hello 👋 I guess I’ll be the first to comment , I know this video has been on UA-cam a couple of years But this performance is amazing thank you for sharing , I hope to see a live kabuki play one day

Diving in to new cultures is educational
I've seen this lion dance before. I don't recall the context, but it's part of a larger Kabuki performance.
Exactly! Correct! The performance lasts about 90 minutes in the theater. We shorten it to a length no one will get bored with.

Kabuki has killed the coronavirus, so this year we can go see you all!
