So lovely to hear from you, Fr Malachy! Thank you for sharing this and congratulations on your anniversary. May God richly bless your priesthood 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you! While you spoke, God showing me His own touch through mine on mentally challenged and emotionally disturbed (mostly ptsd) that I “worked with” and brought into my family for 40 years. Doesn’t get any better than these moments for me. Remembering touches, embraces, foot care, celebrations of all kinds. All I could ever hope to feel/see now. I used to be so aware sometimes of Jesus’ hand, not mine, turning a doorknob to enter a needy one’s apartment. And no matter my weakness or darkness outside the threshold, how the bright love and eventual joy painted those times into a masterpiece. Changing me for my keeping it as I left to go to another or home too. The anointing fruitful each time over thousands of times. Thank you father. So glad for your sharing here now. Part of the brotherhood my Poco a Poco Lent study blessings! Peace, out! 🎶❤️🎶
God Bless you and all you do for your sheep. You are "A Good Shepherd"! Happy Anniversary! Happy to see you online as you have great light within that radiates outward. I am personally grateful for your ministry. May His Mercy be upon you always. I was blessed to be in El Ayote, Nicaragua, two weeks a year for 5 years. Life alignment!!!
Not just your hands bring us Christ Father...the words of your mouth bring Christ to my ears, your face filled with love for Him reflects His love to my eyes, the smell of the incense you use fills my nose, His body fills my mouth and heart with His physical presence, and I become a child before my Father when you place your hands on my head giving me a blessing. In that moment I am safe in the Father's hands and He imparts His grace to me. You did not just give Him your hands you gave Him your body, mind and spirit. In faith I trust and believe you are the, "Person of Christ,"with me - in Confession, in Mass, in baptism, anointing me as I die, your words and actions are His, you walk and breath as a man like my neighbor, my brother, my son. Like them you sin, but that anointing set you apart. I do not call my neighbor, my brother or my son Father....for a reason. The responsibility you take on in ordination is one of such significance I tremble at the thought of being so daring, yet Christ called you to His service. Somewhere between being Christ and being my neighbor, son, or brother, lies the truth of who you are. Another mystery to be accepted and struggle to be endured. I pray for you, because you are not without sin and I recognize that, and have compassion and forgiveness for you in your humanity. Yet you touch and forgive and feed me as Christ, and He wills this. We are caught up together in this web of holy mystery and salvation. Praise God for He is good in all things. I have had no classes in theology so forgive my boldness, my musings are those of a common believer, but the wonder of God's manifestation among us leaves me breathless, fill with gratitude and wonder and inspired.
Wow! This is amazing and you are amazing! Thank you for pouring your heart out and showing us the beauty of it! Your comment is so genuine and inspiring. We are super grateful for that! God bless you always Amara.
Fr. Malachy, congratulations on your priesthood anniversary! Isn't it your 2nd year as a priest in May? I remember it so clearly because exactly a week after your priesthood ordination, I had a dream that I was in a place full of huge white buildings but the sky was grey: overcast, and you appeared to me and advised me to go to confession, listing down 5 reasons in bullet points. I told this to Fr. Mark-Mary back then. God bless. +
I think that's about right, also thank you for sharing that beautiful story too James. These was one of the pre-recorded that Fr. Malachy had and we had it uploaded pretty late.. God bless you too!
