In New Zealand we call dinner time tea time. So we say it’s tea time family at maybe 5:30pm. Then at about 8pm we have supper which is a cup of hot drink and maybe a cookie.
That's cool I love that!
Shoukd have cooked more liquid off by letting it simmer then placed bottom buns in pan pour meat over bottoms cover w cheese then tops then butter then salt or ranch powder slice and eat
Way too much butter for me. But the reason why your meal came out so salty was because cheese is already salty.
With the salt I don’t add very much salt when I’m cooking. Because Worcestershire sauce has salt in it the ketchup and everything has salt and I figure if people think it needs salt they can add it to their own taste. Also I think I would put the bottom of the rolls on the bottom then add the sloppy joe then the top and cheese. I use Redmond real salt in my house. Just some ideas I love sloppy joes
I don't add salt to anything, we use onion salt, celery salt and garlic Salt x
That’s so true about the other ingredients adding salt too. I didn’t think of that.
Save seeds grow your own peppers. How did James cooking thing go. You didn’t post anything about it so I figured I ll just ask
Definitely going to try this recipe looks delicious 😋 😍. Thanks 😊 🧡
😁😁😁
Thank you for posting this
Looks delicious 🤤
🧡🧡🧡
Yum. It looks delicious Alicia thanks for sharing 😊
🧡🧡🧡
I love how you bring us with you on these recipes and we learn together. Thanks Alicia 😊
Use the whole roll on top. That’s what I do.
This looks so good!!!!
I love Sloppy Joes! Excited to make this casserole. Thanks for sharing!

@@DoughertyDozenDo you have any kids with any food allergies and if so how do you control it
@@DoughertyDozenI have a couple of kids with food allergies and don't know how to control it
@@britneyduranko420what allergies? Depends on how severe the allergies are. If they are life threatening, don't give them those foods.
I always use unsalted butter
Oooh yes I bet that would have helped too.
I usually leave a 🩷 I do bcuz I love your videos but in this video, you were a calmer YOU and I really enjoyed that! Casserole looks sooo good! You did Great! Thank you too!!
Looks so good!
I want to try this! Looks really good! 🤤
Everything looks very delicious
Thanks!
That looks sooo good!!! 💯💯💯
Looks great!!
Thanks!
Loved watching you make dinner the salad looks good and it was easy putting it together
Just guessing but I would say the bottom part of the bun should go in the pan first then the sauce then the top then the cheese
Yeah I like that idea
@@DoughertyDozenKäse/Wurst kommt nie als letztes auf Brot/Toastbrot/Brötchen
looks yummy, but i would have put the bottom in then the sloppy joe on top then the top layer.... just my thought
Ooh good idea!
You probably could’ve used the tops and bottoms of the rolls especially since it’s all covered in cheese lol…that’s what I’m going to do when I try this recipe!
I’m glad to see this I wanna make it ❤❤❤
🧡🧡🧡
That looks YUMMY!! You definitely used more salt than you think😅 when you poured it i thought to myself "wow, thats a ton of salt", then you said you halved 4 spoonfuls, you definitely didn't. Looked like about 5 spoonfuls to me....
I love lots of salt!!
😅😅😅
I like the cooking videos and this looked delicious.
Thanks!
I want to try make this
Happy Tuesday Alicia 🎉 I love anything involving sloppy Joe's thanks for sharing have a nice day Dougherty Dozen ❤
Looks good!
😁😁😁
Looks delicious.
Love Sloppy joes This is Perfect Easy to make, Thanks for Sharing the Recipe With Us:)
Looks really good girl!!
🧡🧡🧡
I'm going to make this sloppy Joe's recipe. Thank you Alicia for giving us some ideas for evening meals . It looks delicious ❤❤
🧡🧡🧡
This looks really good! Cesar salad is my favorite salad, especially when the black pepper is strong
Yes mom had brown sugar also
That’s an awesome dinner😊❤️
🧡🧡🧡
Since you were covering the Hawaiian rolls with cheese, l think I would use the bottoms to fill the gaps
What about Tater-tots on top?
My casserole recipe is so much simpler and it’s extremely delicious. You just need a pound of beef or ground turkey. I can of the large size man which, bowtie noodles, some onion and cheddar cheese chef google taught me that one.
That sounds REALLY good!
looks good
🧡🧡🧡
Looks delish! And I have to add that I love seeing your entire face without bangs...do whatever brings you joy, this is merely my opinion 😉Thank you for sharing!
Beef broth got salt into to I have made that mistake plenty of times .. looks lovely going to make something like this in England just can’t get Hawaiian rolls .. you call it hamburger we call it mincemeat .. we don’t have cornbread either .. feel like iam missing out 😂❤
Tons of recipe for cornbread on UA-cam
Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Tuesday afternoon and evening with the kids and can't wait to see the Tuesday Tutorial sloppy joe casserole for your family of 13 and hope all of you guys like it.
Just a kind suggestion… the salted butter could of been the culprit. Try using plain butter next time, because it sure does look yummy 😋
Yup you’re probably right.
I heard Hamburg is recalled at Walmart, becareful and sloppy joes is my favorite.
That’s not good 😭
@@DoughertyDozen I'm sorry you'll have to look it up I tried commenting before u served I live in the Boston area so I'm not that far just buy meat from a good local grocery store♥️
look delicious
🧡🧡🧡
I did not have some of that stuff. Mine was basically garlic hamburger and then you mix ketchup and Worcestershire sauce together and when the hamburger got done you put that over it and then you bake it in the oven with cheese and Fritos on too
Fritos! Brilliant!
You double salted added it to the meat and the veggies both
Yeah! Love that
Looks so delicious I am definitely want to try this❤😊
Maybe dice the peppers smaller I’d use the bottoms
Yum yum, thanks for sharing! I love these tutorials and simple suppers 🧡
Get some Redmond's real salt and ditch that trash salt! It will enhance the flavors of your food so much more, give you minerals in your diet, and NOT raise your blood pressure or taste "salty". It's soooo good!
thanks!
@@DoughertyDozen and if someone doesn't like all the chunky veggies, you can immersion blend them up with the sauce. That's how I have to can my sauce! Lol
@DoughertyDozen I just wanted to say that if you want bad heavy metals as well as good minerals, go with Redmans. I use Mortans lite salt. It has 50% less sodium. You don't need to get your minerals in salt as long as you eat a balanced diet. It's a gimmick that companies use, which I am sure you know. It irritates me how this crap is pushed. You don't even need to add salt at all as someone on here posted. You get plenty of sodium from the other stuff added. On that note it looked great and it's great that even though your evenings are packed you cook for your family instead of heading for the closest fast food joint. Thank you so much for sharing and keep up the good work.😀
@@TracyShead-StameyEducate yourself. It’s not about the minerals, it’s about the processing. All Mortons salt is overly processed and I would never use.
@@Kris-db4ey Oh, good grief. Everything is processed. Get over yourself, Redmans real salt is processed. I have watched videos on it. The only salts that aren't processed are seas salts that use evaporation instead of washing. I don't give a flying fig about processing. I have made it 52 years on processed foods and am doing great. (Oh, yeah and I smoke want to yell at me for that too.) My drs are amazed at my labs and I am not overweight so don't even go there.
People should eat however and whatever they want without being intimidated into stupid fads that will die out in a couple of years.
I never like to eat dinner past 6, so 5 is perfect to me lol
Yes early works better for us whenever possible!
Where did I get your knifes from? I like the handles!
With any kind of leftover bread or bread corners you can make breadcrums and put them in fridge for later use
Hi Alicia! The Sloppy Joe Casserole looks so,so delicious to eat! Making me hungry! Great video!
🧡🧡🧡
@@DoughertyDozen You're very welcome!
this is the earliest ive beennnnnn
😁😁😁
When I had I daycare in my home The kids loved sloppy Joe casserole day
Love that!!
Delicious 🤗 ❤😊❤
Hair looks better!!!
Just thinking if you are covering that with cheese, you might use the bottoms instead of all too. Can’t believe how long Harlee’s hair has gotten.💙
Good afternoon Alicia, awesome thank you for doing another video for today. Just got out of work. Going to enjoy the sun and watch this video. Enjoy your Pepsi too.🧡
Thanks 😁
Alicia that swather looks so pretty on you. Quick question…does your dishwasher work?
Yes the dishwasher works but once in awhile it likes to leak a lake into our kitchen so we gotta have someone look at that. It’s on my To Do List…😅
@@DoughertyDozen oh goodness. Casserole looks very tasty. Sometimes it’s easier to just wash dishes by hand for you’d have to be running that bugger 3 times a day. But I understand you are always busy but you deserve to get it fixed when you can. It would be still help you out. Always something right? Happy Wednesday!!
I knew the salt was too much.
Always remember, you can al ways at more but you can never take out.,
hey they sell HUGE bags of Liquid IV at Cosco. Just went Yesterday. Here in CT. :)
my son says I'm supris3d she doesn't just buy precut frozen peppers whole bag for a buck . lol inwas like she just needs sharp knife ❤
I’m going to try this sloppy Joe recipe thanks 😊
🧡🧡🧡
I watched Alicia every day in afternoon
5 isn’t too early we alway eat at 5 to 5:30pm
I normally do a later dinner because I work until 9pm and I don't get a meal break as I only work 4 to 5 hours. Sometimes I might grab a snack on break, but my dinner is always after 9 due to my schedule
U could always cook prior to work if u only work 4-5 hrs. U could cook at 3/4 eat at 4/5 depending on the hrs u work . That’s what I would do. Do u have kids!? That’s extremely late for them to eat if so
@@sweets8446 I usually eat something before work, but by the time I'm done, I'm more often than not feeling like I'm starving. No I don't have any kids.
Lots of vege yummmm
We use corn bread instead of rolls on the top. Just put your sloppy Joe or chili mix then pour on cornbread and bake.
Now I want some cornbread 😂
😂
Good afternoon, Alicia! I love a good sloppy Joe and I think that I would totally be down for this casserole. 🧡🧡🧡
🧡🧡🧡
That casserole does look good so does the salad
Looked delicious as always
🧡🧡🧡
She said we’re we going out for dinner??
Where are we going after dinner
Hello from Lexington KY
Hi!🧡🧡🧡
good afternoon alicia give me a plate or bowl that sounds

I love sloppy Joe's I just use can one lol
Hey we like the can version sometimes too 😁
You need a chopper. Saves so much time.
Isnt dinner supposed to be at night
This was recorded earlier in the week, she just posted it now. She said they eat around 5-6 so early evening
@@dahoodini5683 I know but I thought dinners are at 7-9
@@green.s.nope, a lot of people eat between 4 and 7. It's also better for your metabolism.
@@green.s.that would be kind of late for most families. I think a average time is probably like 5:30-6:30 ish

Are Hawaiian rolls like Brioche? (Quite buttery and slightly sweet?)
We don't have them in the UK, but this recipe looks great. Would love to give it a go x
It's definitely similar. I guess brioche would be the closest thing you could compare it too. I personally like brioche better, it's a little denser and a little less sweet then Hawaiian rolls. I was actually looking into making my own Hawaiian rolls and the recipes I came across called for pineapple juice. I don't believe they use pineapple to sweeten the store bought ones though.
I actually think brioche would be better with this meal because it is a little denser.
I think so
Was always taught to never cook anything with tomatoes in foil. The acid from the tomatoes will eat through the foil. Even when you need to cover a dish with foil, put down parchment paper first and then the foil .
❤❤❤
🧡🧡🧡
I love sloppy joes. This seems like a really easy dinner. I would think roll bottoms down, the meat sauce, cheese & then the roll tops. Only a suggestion.
Hawaiian rolls turn to mush when they are cooked with sauce. We tried doing meatball sliders with them. Ended up scraping off the meatballs and cheese and pitching the rolls. I didn’t even add much pizza sauce. Very disappointing.
1st one !!!
