HARDCORE NUZLOCKE RULES (POKEMON HARD MODE)

1. Only Pokemon with a Dark-typing can be used in battle.
2. I can only try to catch the first Dark-type that I encounter in each area.
3. If a Pokemon faints it cannot be used for the remainder of the run.
4. If my whole team faints then the attempt is over.
5. No items in battle (held items are okay).
6. Set mode enabled.
7. I cannot over-level beyond the highest level of the next gym.
8. No duplicate species can be caught. Encounters for species that I have caught previously are re-rolled.
9. Any shiny Dark-type can be caught regardless of whether it is the first encounter of an area.

100% Umbreon/ Used on my original shield team and my god, moonlight plus substitute and umbreons work up and baton pass just absolutely destroyed.

Fun fact: an Obstagoon with Night Slash, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, and Obstruct can sweep Leon’s team at the level cap
Fun fact:guts boosted obstagoon with facade and night slash can sweep leon even better
Fun fact:All kind of pokemon can swipe leon's entire team
(Actually certain level 1 pokemon(s) can do it too)

@@UNkNOwnBO7 Sword has Hydreigon, so there's no net gain in Dark-Types in Shield.
It might be because tyranitar is better/prefered. (I dont use either much so i dont know if tyranitar is accually better)
Awesome video. I really love the editing, and how fast you showcase the whole run. It really flies by. Those 23 minutes do not feel anywhere near 23 minutes aha. As for favourite dark type, always loved Tyranitar.

My favorite dark type is Grimsnarl (love it’s design, and when starting a frind session in a mono-grass run, I found, first encounter and full odds, a shiny Impidimp that I transfered to Sword via Home).
But I absolutely love Zorua and Hydreigon as well.

Your production value is incredible. I love how every new team member you provide text information regarding natures, information about berries/items used, etc. Keep up the excellent work! Also, to answer your question, my favorite dark type is Umbreon, with Tyranitar being a close second.

I'm a dark type trainer, every game I play I always make sure I have a dark pokemon in team. My favorites are Zoroark, Greninja and Weavile tho

As someone who exclusively uses dark and ghost types I know there are two Pokemon that can be extremely OP
Absol - with super luck
Psycho cut
Night slash
Air slash
X-Scissor
Bisharp - any ability
Low kick
X-scissor
Night slash
Iron head
I can beat all of sword/shield with just just those two

fun fact: keegan j did the dumb thing that he choosed the burn status for guts, thats not really smart because burn makes ur attack less, poison is much better for this specific reason

My personal favourite is Krookodile, precisely because it's so damn good. I know Moxie sweeps are fun, but have you ever used a Utility Krookodile with Intimidate, Knock Off and Stealth rock? It's incredibly resilient!

Doing this with Pokemon Y and god does it start off hard. You only have Froakie until you reach Route 5 to get Pancham or Scraggy. That means you have to fight both the first gym leader and Professor Sycamore with just one pokemon.
Dark type is my fav type and my fav pokemon of the dark type is hydreigon.
My favourite Dark Pokémon has to be Absol. It's cool-looking, and it's really fun to use in Hoenn playthroughs. Also it's my 2nd favourite pokemon of all time.
Edit: I take it you chose Shield for this challenge so that you don't get softlocked at Bea.
