Reason why you put Ace at the middle spot is because of the map. Ace does extremely great on maps like Deserted Village or Crossroads and can solo until Wave 19-20 on solo. Plus, Ace is vital for Hardcore’s Early Game (bombs are exceptionally great for hefties). Being very cheap with great DPS (you can max it at around wave 10-12, it excels in all stages of the game (INCLUDING EARLY).

If the warden was placed here, he would mostly likely be at 7. True he may be strong in late and mid game but in early game his more like *meh* he can do the job fine just that the problem is that it's a single hit tower which would then cause leaks while also booting up to its really kinda expensive upgrades. Theres just better options i would say
If warden gets a mention what about our boy the sledger? While for very early it’s a little slow, later on it works well, not only hitting 4 towers with 80 damage (if I remember correctly) but also freezing and having those frozen enemies take double damage. Really great for taking out heftier mobs like bosses. If used correctly ofc.
Fun fact: if u wanna be greedy with money, u can place ONE golden scout at wave 0, and ONE level 0 farm at wave 0, so at wave 1, the farm gives u an extra $50 so u can get another level 0 g scout

The funny thing is i use glad for early game and upgrade them to max when fallens arrive, by the end of the match they end up dealing more damage then my accels. (I place them right at the start, works very well if there is a curve near the enterence)
I upgrade to max at wave 28 so they can deal with glitches or errors I forgot their name but basically whenever the glitches run past my access will still be locked onto the giant bosses on wave 28 so I need to get my glass to max to deal with them
The reason it cannot solo any waves is because you placed it on the worst spot. 1:56 You need to place it on the inner curve or else it’s not going to be very optimum.
What about warden and cowboy (regular cowboy) cowboy can generate money if used well and warden gets stun immunity at max and is pretty op also cowboy can get a ton of money if spammed. Also military base can defend early game well.
Even though gold scout might seem like it’s just an early game tower, if you get 6 max golden scout with commander and dj it can do really well until around wave 25 or 26.
@monkey6114 no because even without dj discount max golden scout will only cost 6325 in total so 6 max golden scout will be around 38k while a max accel would cost around 53k so the extra money can be use to invest in farm and if you farm correctly in fallen then you will get 2 max accel by wave 30(with dj discount.)
@monkey6114 well a level 4 accel would not do as well as 6 golden scout because 6 golden scouts will do 216 dps while the lvl 4 accel will do 120 dps and also accel has a cooldown and charge up time too.
You forgot about Warden, it can leak 1 enemy at Molten and prob 2-3 at Fallen. But it's not a big deal taking a bit of HP is fine. Also Reg. Cowboy. It gives cash only $550 to place. I did not include Gold Cowboy since it's more expensive and harder to use. As long as you are very pro at it.
Use soldier in duos on fallen,trust me a single soldier can get to wave 16 by it self here is what you gotta do Place soldier in a good spot (upgrade to level if you need more range) either farm or save up for level 2 (if level 2 wasnt achieved before the quicks you may leak 1 or 2) Farm more Get lvl 3 at wave 10 for the boss and then save up for max lvl soldier for wave 11-16 (you can farm for max lvl if your confident) by wave 16 your teammate should have atleast all farms to level 3 if he farmed well and place towers for breakers and then ur chilling Note:tell your teammate to trust you and defend and tell them to get something against wave 16 Note 2:this might not work on every map but i know it works on both u-turn (if correctly placed) and crossroads,you dont have to do it if you have any gold and cheap towers,neither you have to trust
IMO ace should be like #3 or something higher because lets be honest its by far the best early game hardcore tower and most reliable The only downside I feel like is that hidden detection is kinda expensive but in any solo regular game you can afford it with ease by wave 13

with glad you need to spend 600 cash to defend until wave 7 while with g scout you can spend 400 cash and then spend 200 more on wave 4 (it doesn’t seem like a big difference but you can boost your farming by wave 4 by 200 cash which is really good) for wave 7 they have similar price but for wave 10 g scout is MUCH cheaper as you need to get a lvl 4 glad for wave 10 which is 5050 IN TOTAL just for wave 10 while g scout can handle wave 10 with just its lvl 3 upgrade which is 2325 cash. Extremely big difference for mid game you could argue gladiator is better due to its max level being extremely cost efficient and can hold off for a very long time and it’s crowd control for late game however your farming will be much more efficient with gold scout

G cowboy and cowboy is just bad, you could use it for early but there definitely a cheaper and much better choice of tower than them.

Golden Soldier is better to use if you combine Accelerator with it because it has ok dps and it is a great early-game tower.
Very underrated one executioner I was able to get all max farms by wave 19 with it
What you forgot to mention is that gladiator is stun basically stum immune after you get the ability
