I've been a rabid fan of Altan, for decades. I saw them many times in Upstate New York during their tours. They still rock our collective spirit, our beauty, as children of Eire. ☘ ☘ ☘
It makes me kind of sad and…existential (?) to see Mairéad playing the reel alone, at the end. Of course, she’s not completely alone, she’s got Mark Kelly and Ciarán Curran here-I’m just so used to hearing that tune ("da New Rigged Ship") with 2-3 fiddles & accordion.
