Stunning video Solent Ships perfect weather conditions and perfect sea conditions also. Thankyou for taking the time to give this video to us.

It's surprising how often conditions in port are not suitable for flying shipmate, so it's always great to catch something different.

Great bit of droning Cap'n. I think you're right about the B&W shot working because of the sharp lines of the vessel. I always find industrial images (straight up and down buildings and machinery) more memorable in B&W, so possibly why I liked your still🤔. TY for the video.

That's a good point shipmate, the Wayfinder does look very architectural.

Ahoy Captain, another splendid video and yes I think the black and white pictures really work well. It will be very interesting to see contrasts you get with the more colourfully painted vessels. I did watch the bird strike video afterwards nasty Oyster Catcher, perhaps you could fit micro machine guns to the drone. That would make a good video seeing the enemy spiralling out of control and splosh into the drink lol. I liked your raising a glass to the fallen drone a fitting tribute. Take care and stay safe. :) :) :)

I have tried B&W on a few occasions shipmate, but it just never seemed to look good. I think the water often ends up looking black, but as Wayfinder was all white, it worked this time. Micro machines needs to be my next project.

What effect does the yacht have on the environment???? How much fuel does the yacht use and how much emissions are released into our air and into the water? About enough for 1,000 cars or 10,000 cars, more or less????? Yea, it would be nice to have, but what are the costs????

All good questions shipmate. I can tell you that all waste water is treated onboard.

Very nice B&W shot! Was there a “red filter” mode on? Looks like what we used to get in photography school with one of those on the lens.

Thanks shipmate. I take photos in a RAW format then tweak them in photoshop afterwards. Can't remember what technique I used to make it black and white, think I just de saturated the picture.

We live just by the Itchen bridge and we get lots of oystercatchers flying past, so perhaps you had better keep the drone away from the river!

Good information shipmate. Since my encounter last year, I have spotted them all around the port area. I guess, that's where you find oysters.

@@SolentShips It certainly is- if you walk round the marina you often see bits of shell. The gulls fly up in the air with the oysters and drop them onto the gangways to break them open. If they can't be bothered they hang around the terrace at Pitcher and Piano and try to make off with your lunch.
