She turned and slapped Deacon. Yet Brooke was so angry at Katie, her sister with a heart transplant for sleeping with Nick one time only, before the marriage she viciously slapped her. Everyone is always talking about how vicious and violent Stephanie was, yet she wouldn't slap a pregnant Brooke. When Stephanie found about the Brooke and Deacon her primary concern was protecting Bridget. She did not out Brooke to anyone and even agreed to help raise Hope. Yet, when Brooke found out about Ridge and Massimo she mocked and taunted Stephanie, threatening to call Jerry Springer, the hypocrisy.

Trust is an abstract concept. When mixed with emotions, it is unpredictable. While I do think that Katie was wronged here, she did give Brooke and Bill mixed messages. She should take responsibility for that. Just like Taylor should not have turned a blind eye to Ridge's infidelity before their first marriage, Katie should not have turned a blind eye to Bill's indiscretions. First of all, he had roving eyes from Day 1. When he first came to town, he pursued Donna. Then, right before marrying Katie, he had a fling with Steffy (though "what" they did never was revealed). Throughout his first years married to Katie, Bill kept eyeing Steffy. Katie's alarms should have gone off when Ridge left Brooke. She should have guarded her man or accepted the possibility that he might stray. Nevertheless, what surprises me about this whole storyline is that all the characters are surprised and appalled that Brooke did this when she's done worse. She slept with her elder DAUGHTER'S (Bridget's) husband Deacon and came back for an encore with Bridget's second husband, Nick. She also inadvertently slept with Oliver (Hope's first boyfriend) at a party for minors. If she betrayed her own daughter, why would betraying her own sister seem shocking? And now for Bill and Brooke taking responsibility. Katie was going through postpartum depression and was not in a rational state of mind, so they did something hurtful at the worst and most emotional time. It's wrong of them to point fingers at Katie. They need to own up to what they did and accept the fact that Katie would see this as a betrayal. In the end, this is a TV show, so I have to say the bickering and drama make it worth watching. Some said that after Susan Flannery and Ronn Moss left, it would be hard to build up momentum, but this story helped bring the show to a new level.
If Brooke had the baby, Bill would have had 4 children from 4 women....unless of course Kelly is actually Bill's and not Liam's. Then, it would be 5 children from 5 women.
There is no justification for what Taylor did. All I was hearing was a bunch of excuses. Taylor didn't expose Brooke for Katie's sake. She did it for herself. If Taylor so wanted Katie to know she should've told her in private. Not at a party celebrating Brooke in front of all her family and friends. Her daughter, her sister, her son. That was not the time or the place to deal with this. This was supposed to be a celebration. A happy occasion and look at what Taylor and her selfish ways turned it into. Taylor didn't have Katie in mind at all. She did it for herself. She did it to get revenge on Brooke and where did that get her. Nowhere. It caused her to lose the love and respect of those closest to her and above all she lost Eric. Taylor really thought Eric was gonna side with her. How can he side with her when she is in the wrong? To make matters worse she tried to flip this around and make it seem like part of it was Eric's fault. Eric didn't do anything wrong. Brooke told him about the pregnancy and who the father was and Eric told Brooke the right thing which was to come clean to Bill and Katie. Plus Taylor went and stole private medical records. Taylor is a doctor herself and she stole someone else's medical records. Imagine that she was willing to lose her medical licence just to stick it to Brooke. She was willing to risk it all. She was willing to go to prison. Taylor is no psychiatrist. She deserved to be judged for her actions. I'm glad she lost Eric. She didn't think she would when she decided to expose Brooke. Eric doesn't need to be with a person like that. He deserved better so much better. Had that been me I would've made sure that Taylor lost her licence and was never able to practice as a psychiatrist ever again.

While that's true don't forget that Taylor thought what Steffy and Bill were doing was wrong and was the one that told Katie what they were up to. So at least Taylor is consistent. There is one difference though and that was Steffy and Bill never actually had sex unlike Brooke and Bill. Also Bill was willing to leave Katie for Steffy and the only reason he didn't was due to Katie's heart attack. Bill didn't really want to leave Katie for Brooke until after this happened and Bill realized Katie wasn't going to forgive him. I think the true love of Bill's life was and is Steffy however Bill isn't the love of Steffy's life. What Bill did for Steffy throughout the years was more than he ever did for Katie or Brooke. Even to this day when he thought Steffy was pregnant with Liam's child instead of Finn's he seemed more worried about Steffy than he did Liam and when him and Thomas got into that argument in his office the way he lashed out at Thomas was more intense when he brought up how his lie about Beth hurt Steffy. His voice was raised and his anger increased and was more intense when he referred to the pain Steffy went through over that of Liam or Hope's trauma!

Trust is an abstract concept. When mixed with emotions, it is unpredictable. While I do think that Katie was wronged here, she did give Brooke and Bill mixed messages. She should take responsibility for that. Just like Taylor should not have turned a blind eye to Ridge's infidelity before their first marriage, Katie should not have turned a blind eye to Bill's indiscretions. First of all, he had roving eyes from Day 1. When he first came to town, he pursued Donna. Then, right before marrying Katie, he had a fling with Steffy (though "what" they did never was revealed). Throughout his first years married to Katie, Bill kept eyeing Steffy. Katie's alarms should have gone off when Ridge left Brooke. She should have guarded her man or accepted the possibility that he might stray. Nevertheless, what surprises me about this whole storyline is that all the characters are surprised and appalled that Brooke did this when she's done worse. She slept with her elder DAUGHTER'S (Bridget's) husband Deacon and came back for an encore with Bridget's second husband, Nick. She also inadvertently slept with Oliver (Hope's first boyfriend) at a party for minors. If she betrayed her own daughter, why would betraying her own sister seem shocking?
And now for Bill and Brooke taking responsibility. Katie was going through postpartum depression and was not in a rational state of mind, so they did something hurtful at the worst and most emotional time. It's wrong of them to point fingers at Katie. They need to own up to what they did and accept the fact that Katie would see this as a betrayal.
In the end, this is a TV show, so I have to say the bickering and drama make it worth watching. Some said that after Susan Flannery and Ronn Moss left, it would be hard to build up momentum, but this story helped bring the show to a new level.

There is no justification for what Taylor did. All I was hearing was a bunch of excuses. Taylor didn't expose Brooke for Katie's sake. She did it for herself. If Taylor so wanted Katie to know she should've told her in private. Not at a party celebrating Brooke in front of all her family and friends. Her daughter, her sister, her son. That was not the time or the place to deal with this. This was supposed to be a celebration. A happy occasion and look at what Taylor and her selfish ways turned it into. Taylor didn't have Katie in mind at all. She did it for herself. She did it to get revenge on Brooke and where did that get her. Nowhere. It caused her to lose the love and respect of those closest to her and above all she lost Eric. Taylor really thought Eric was gonna side with her. How can he side with her when she is in the wrong? To make matters worse she tried to flip this around and make it seem like part of it was Eric's fault. Eric didn't do anything wrong. Brooke told him about the pregnancy and who the father was and Eric told Brooke the right thing which was to come clean to Bill and Katie. Plus Taylor went and stole private medical records. Taylor is a doctor herself and she stole someone else's medical records. Imagine that she was willing to lose her medical licence just to stick it to Brooke. She was willing to risk it all. She was willing to go to prison. Taylor is no psychiatrist. She deserved to be judged for her actions. I'm glad she lost Eric. She didn't think she would when she decided to expose Brooke. Eric doesn't need to be with a person like that. He deserved better so much better. Had that been me I would've made sure that Taylor lost her licence and was never able to practice as a psychiatrist ever again.

To marry her. Ok maybe that part is true. But Eric DID NOT allow Brooke to come between him and Taylor. I remember that episode very clearly when Brooke told Eric what she had done and that she was pregnant. She told Eric what she wanted him to do and he told her no. You wanna know why he told her no. He told her no because of Taylor. He said that he was with Taylor. That he loved her. That he wasn't gonna leave her for Brooke. He also told her to do the right thing and come clean to Bill and Katie. What Brooke chooses to do after that is her business? This also shows how insecure Taylor was in her relationship. She thought Eric's love for her wasn't enough to withstand Brooke. Yes she knew how easily Brooke could take Eric away from her but he didn't allowed that to happen because he was committed to her.

While that's true don't forget that Taylor thought what Steffy and Bill were doing was wrong and was the one that told Katie what they were up to. So at least Taylor is consistent. There is one difference though and that was Steffy and Bill never actually had sex unlike Brooke and Bill. Also Bill was willing to leave Katie for Steffy and the only reason he didn't was due to Katie's heart attack. Bill didn't really want to leave Katie for Brooke until after this happened and Bill realized Katie wasn't going to forgive him. I think the true love of Bill's life was and is Steffy however Bill isn't the love of Steffy's life. What Bill did for Steffy throughout the years was more than he ever did for Katie or Brooke. Even to this day when he thought Steffy was pregnant with Liam's child instead of Finn's he seemed more worried about Steffy than he did Liam and when him and Thomas got into that argument in his office the way he lashed out at Thomas was more intense when he brought up how his lie about Beth hurt Steffy. His voice was raised and his anger increased and was more intense when he referred to the pain Steffy went through over that of Liam or Hope's trauma!

Taylor came to Katie and told her what was happening between Bill and Steffy. She didn't have to, she could have kept quiet but she didn't. As for her saying "marriages sometimes fail", she's right. Bill and Katie were having serious problems at that time and most of them had nothing to do with Steffy. In my opinion I think there is a good chance that Bill and Katie's marriage would have been over if not for Taylor telling Katie about Bill and Steffy. It was Katie's heart attack that you blame Taylor and Steffy for that kept Bill with Katie from ending their marriage. Had that not happened I think there's a good chance that Bill and Katie would have broken up for good. Taylor told Katie the truth because she knew what Bill and Steffy were doing was wrong. As for what Brooke said about Taylor not calling her daughter a homewrecker is pointless. It doesn't matter what Taylor said about her daughter to Brooke, the only thing that matters is that Taylor told Katie the truth. What Steffy and Bill did was wrong but keep in mind that Steffy was sill very wrong for going after Bill in the first place but that doesn't include Taylor's response to it. Taylor did do the right thing and saying otherwise is ridiculous. I get that you don't like Taylor and you have every right to have that opinion but at least recognizing that Taylor did do the right thing. It can't be that hard to do!
