James Fisher NDT provides digital radiography examination for customers from Aerospace and automotive as well as a wide range of other industries. We are accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and approved by Nadcap and Rolls Royce PLC, JF NDT’s team of highly experienced radiographers is supported by the latest equipment, including a fully automated Hamamatsu 150kV micro focus X-ray set with a 200µm Digital Detector Array (DDA) and a Computed Radiography (CR) system capable of 25 µm resolution.
Digital radiography is very effective in its ability to quickly detect flaws such as inclusions, shrinkage and gas pores with great accuracy. Images can be inspected immediately on a fully calibrated high resolution monitor or sent directly to you for disposition.
Saving time is only one of the many values of utilising digital radiographic techniques. Robotically controlled programs allow for fast repeatable inspections every time. The impact on the environment is also reduced as the use of film and chemicals is eliminated. The cost and volume of storage archives required for film can be reduced significantly by the electronic data storage of the digital images.
