I think lots of people know "After Laughter" but don't know who it is. It's taken me years to hunt that song down. It's one of those songs you sometimes hear and think "oh wow" but you never remember properly, I searched "after love" and listened to lots of Percy Sledge (yes, really) trying to find it. I just watched This Is England again and it's on the soundtrack to that, so finally I found it. Her music is wonderful.
As a soundtrack in Lucky Number Slevin titled movie, Wendy's voice touched me immediately!Never heard of.Had to look after at that moment:)Fortunately found here this album, and im sure lotsa other danceable classic.Thank you for it

Wow how did I just find about this. I’m gonna love riding around in sunny San Diego to this! Knew about the after laughter song (mostly cause the wu tang slap!) Gonna enjoy this record for sure. Big ups to the one who posted’ed it on UA-cam. Liked and might subscribe if the channel is full of gold like this

They should get very loud speakers a play this on the battle fields of the Russian and Ukrainian War with go go girls in ni high patent leather boots in mini shirts.
I wish rza would go back to the stax catalog for his samples when he makes future beats............he completely fell off after producing supreme clientele.........it's a shame.
Maybe she didn't sign the devil's contract because they sho could use her because she had a wonderful voice she didn't sign that contract and blood, and that's my opinion

The soundtrack of my parents youth. Wow. No drugs, strippers, guns, anger. Straight happy times. When this music was made it is hard to believe that racial segregation was in effect and bigotry was law but it didn't break the minds of people and they made heartfelt music
I will turn 74 in March 2023. I recall better rapport with Blacks in my youth than there is now. U believe this is promoted by politicians. I was about to marry a lovely black lady when I was 21. We both worked at the Oakland Post Office. When he told her friends about me they told her not to marry me because I was white and her two young boys needed a black father. This went to her head and she bailed on me. I still think about her and miss her. Don't believe all the things you hear about people, especially in politics. People are better than you think. God bless you
I'm 74 in 2023. Thought I had heard all the ladies of soul in my youth. How did I miss her? Certainly not on the soul station in Seattle back then.
