The clock on the train station stopped on the 26th of July 1963 at 5:17 in the morning. The original plan was to fully demolish the remains of the train station, but it was left as a monument of the earthquake and the thousands of lost lives in it.
Fun fact; North Macedonia is one of the youngest countries in Europe. It was used to be part of Yugoslavia and gained it's independence in 1991. Since it's independence, it was used to be called 'Macedonia'. In 2019, Macedonia changed it's name to North Macedonia, due political discussion with Greece.
Hey guys. The old side of town has more Muslims so depending when you went they may have gone to prayer. Also Macedonians tend to finish work 330-4pm, go home and not come out until 9-10pm. That's why it is so dead at that time. If you go out at 10pm it would be packed.
Ohhhh that makes sense!! We were so confused 😂 we’re usually back in our rooms by 10 so I guess we’ll have to adjust our schedule better the next time we visit!! Thanks for letting us know 😊
Wonderful, interesting vlog. I have never visited Skopje but feel it should be on my list…looks wonderful. Keep up the good work, from a new subscriber 🙏❤️👍
Thank you so much! We definitely recommend visiting Skopje if you get the chance! 😊 there’s so much more to see that we weren’t able to fit into our day
I would like to ask you something, maybe it is outside of your topic. There are many Turkish population in the Balkans. You can go to the places where they live and shoot. I guess there are many Turks following you, your number of views will increase. But still, you know.
