These kind of digital enhancements to the sound... leave me without words as well 🙂

Hi, there you have connected the clean of the eleven to the lexicon rack by serial or by midi? Can they be connected to each other? the lexicon has distortions? thx.

I use FX loop send/return on 11R. Balanced TRS cables are then used to connect Lexicon units. Look in the user manual and you will find it. Lexicon MPX500 and Lexicon PCM80 do not have distortions.

Mpx 500 over the Mpx1? I’m seeing the 500 is going for cheaper?

Yes, through years I also see MPX500 is going for cheaper. MPX500 or MPX1? Answer depends on your needs. I keep MPX500 for its unique Abyss preset. It is limited on 2 effects so in a typical rack setup with preamp, effects, poweramp... I would probably go with MPX G2 with R1 controller. I've seen many people commenting it is simple and effective setup. Check out Leon Todd and his reviews on both MPX1 and G2. Also, Kan Lyd has very good short demo on G2: ua-cam.com/video/JjTaTVTXtsY/v-deo.html

@@BrankoOgorelec I’d be using it for vocals and other instruments, mainly the reverbs. I did see Leon Todd’s review of the MPX1, I’m thinking of getting a Drawmer DS201 to do the gated reverb Tony Visconti trick and wanted a good/cheaper unit than the PCMs. The 500 has the LexiChip. My setup is computer-less, LA610MKII-Tascam Model 24-AudioScape Buss Comp printing to a Tascam DP-03 which has mastering functionality.

      @@RasCuban33 I also like computer-less setup :)
I am not sure about the LexiChip but I feel it doesn't matter. Whatever is inside MPX500 does an excellent job. I would try MPX500 for purpose you describe, because I find it extremly close to PCM80 when it comes to reverbs. I have recorded all the material for the comparison of PCM80 and MPX500, but I didn't find time to produce the video. I hope to make it soon, stay tuned. I used only guitar sound to compare, but I think it will be a good pointer to a very close reverb sound in PCM80 and MPX500. Judging by that, I would expect it has close sound when it comes to vocals or drums. PCM80 has MUCH more options to fine tune your reverb, but I would say only 1% of people need such fine tuning. I went that way out of curiosity, to create meditative reverb. If, by any chance, you like such fine tuning... then PCM80 is the way. Listen to samples made by master Italo de Angelis and enjoy.

@@BrankoOgorelec Thank you so much for the info sir, I just grabbed a MPX500 for $150 🙃 The built in reverbs on the Tascam Model 12 are ok, but now with this unit it will open up different sonic territories. Going to try to set up a preset trying to match Hansa Studios live room to use in combo with the gates.

@@RasCuban33 I am glad to be of help 🙂 I think you will enjoy the sound of MPX500 very much. Combining it with other units is also fun! Share some videos on YT and let me know, I am curious to hear it in your setup 🙂
