How To Reset/Recover Forgotten Messenger Password

Let's reset and recover your Facebook Messenger password.
In this video, I walk you through the steps to reset your Messenger password if you don't know what it is. You will need access either to the email address or phone number you used to sign up for Messenger. By using either one of those you will get an authentication code from Messenger and type it in to verify you own the account. From there you can reset your password to a new password, logout all other devices from your Messenger account, and login again. This trick works the same for both iPhone and Android in 2021.

I done what you said and i entered code sent to my email then after that i got a screen saying enter a login approval dode to connnect your account , a code has been sent to your phone , and theres no option to change it to email and i havent recieved a code to my phone

I have to reset my PIN in Messenger. It was written to go to Privacy and Safety. Then tap "End to End Encrypted Chats", then click "secure Storage", then tap "Reset Pin". There is no "Reset Pin" option. Only 6 empty boxes. When I tap "forgot PIN", I'm just led through these instructions again, and again and AGAIN. Sigh!
