Oh that is so cute! Especially with the embroidery. I made a rapunzel costume for my granddaughter when she was 16. Walmart sheets, curtain fabric and paint. I was up north in whitehorse. One fabric store, no interfacing, very few fabrics. Bought them a sewing machine. My granddaughter learned the math to make the circle skirt. She was so shy to walk into the hall but she was instantly surrounded by little girls who helped carry her hair around. It made our day to see her blossom into the character and enjoy herself. It was my most difficult sewing project ever with no supplies in the house , not even pins. But she learned to sew.
Honestly, I much prefer your version to either of the American Girl dresses. So well done AND she'll match you! (On a side note: You are SO CLOSE to 40k subscribers!!!)
This turned out fabulous. She even looks like Rapunzel. Love it more than the actual doll. Dress is way over the top better, you do such excellent work. I actually sew in all my sleeves that way, unless a 2 piece. Taught myself that in the 50s cause I had no professional training and did what ever was easy. Thanks again for something fun. Break a leg new show.😊
I follow you for your historical costuming mostly, but I really appreciate your American Girl Doll hobby. It blends so well with your historical costuming and cosplay and I just find it interesting to watch!
It’s absolutely stunning! That’s the best thing about making clothes. You can make it exactly how you want and is worth so much more than any store bought garment because you made it with your hands!
Rapunzel is my favorite Disney princess, too! (Then Belle. But I like purple better than yellow, lol.) I've been wanting my own Rapunzel dress for years, I missed out on the Torrid one and I've been kicking myself for it ever since. But I'd make one for me and one for my doll. If I ever make one, I'll definitely look up your embroidery pattern. Too bad I don't have an embroidery machine. This came out so amazing! You should definitely feel proud of yourself. If you ever make yourself love your dress again, we need pictures of you and your doll.
The accessories are a great touch, but the true star is the dress. I love all your videos and the AG ones have a special place in my heart. Happy Sewing!!
Hi, will you be continuing your decade deep dive series? I can’t find anyone else on UA-cam that does such in-depth videos on the topic, and would love to see more!
That turned out really cute. The embroidery fits perfectly on the dress, and I'm wondering how you'd change that if you shortened the dress. I figure... magic. My 2nd hand machine came with a digitizer, but it's old tech and I have to borrow an old computer to use it. 🤣🤣 I have so much respect for all who digitize! Unrelated, I love your fingernail polish.
I'm currently working on a 1:4 project and it feels similar to AG sizing. I hadn't appreciated how difficult it is - eg when my sleeves are too narrow to go round the machine base... Glad to see you enjoying your work!
@@mdksailormoon she's adorable, so imo, you should totally get her! I'll bet if you wait till black Friday, she'll be on sale on Amazon. 😉 If you want to wait that long, that is!
It turned out gorgeous. Honestly I don't think you need the other doll. My favourite Disney princess is Belle from "Beauty and the Beast". That's always been my favourite faerie tale. A number of years ago I made her ball gown for my Julie doll and Snow White for Ivy and of course Cinderella for Addy. Strangely enough I love my versions over store bought due to the time and effort that went into making them. I'm planning on crocheting a Supergirl outfit for my girls along with a witch's outfit. I love watching you make outfits for your dolls. It's inspired me to get back into making and designing doll clothes again.
Rebecca, you have no idea how much I liked this video! I make Barbie clothes on Instagram and I was so happy to see doll sewing content from you ❤ Also I agree on not putting linings in doll clothes, you might get away with the bulk on the AG dolls but on Barbies it'll be too much!

Oh definitely better than the ag Rapunzel dress! Yours is so much prettier ❤️. The lilac fabric even has little daffodils on it i think? So cute!
Thanks!
I love how you separated the bodice from the skirt. Pleasant company definitely would have done this. So beautiful.
Thanks!

Thanks! (And honestly, my growth on here is so slow that I'm just hoping I reach 40k by the end of the year!)
Totally ❤

Thanks! Tbh, I've never thought of doing sleeves that way for human sized clothes, but I might give it a try sometime.
Your work is impeccable. Such a lovely dress with so much detail. Thank you for sharing your creative process.
Thanks!

Thanks! You should totally make yourself a Rapunzel dress.
I absolutely love your American girl Rapunzel dress! It is just beautiful! You are so so talented and I enjoy watching your process as you sew along🥰
Yeah more doll dresses love this thank you!
That is exquisite. Nothing could be prettier. I also love the length!
Thanks!
Oooh this turned out pretty!!! I bet you could even make those little gem flowers using gemstones or something. That would be pretty easy to do!
Thanks!
lol and I'm over here working on turning my KO AG doll into a smaller version of my Ren Faire costume (Satyr girl!)... I hear you on the tiny details.
I love your doll Sewing videos
She is stunning. I agree with the rattail decision. Ribbon would have the right feel. You will be beautiful together. Chloé is so happy.
Wow it is amazing how much going with the velvet ribbon elevates the satin!
The accessories are a great touch, but the true star is the dress. I love all your videos and the AG ones have a special place in my heart. Happy Sewing!!

Very cute! I'm impressed that you had enough tiny trim to do the whole thing! 💜
I'm glad it worked out! It hadn't even occurred to me when I started that I wouldn't have enough!
So cute and it's much better than the mass production one ❤
This came out wonderfully.
Thanks!

I do intend to, but I'm not sure when.
Wow that looks so cute! Great job!
It turned out beautifully! 💜🌸💜

Absolutely love how the dress came out! Wonderful video as always!
Thanks!
yeah it looks rough cause she was learning as she went totally understand that and buying it is fine better to spend the $13 and be happy with it
So cute-- so many aesthetic decisions to make. You always make good choices! Love to watch your work.
Thanks!
Absolutely stunning. Awesome work.
Thanks!
Wow! So, so spectacular! And such a fun video as well, thank you!! It was very funny every time you referenced "human clothing" 😂
Very sweet
So beautiful and detailed. ❤
Thanks!
Now that is an excellent job well done! Very nice!
Thanks!

Lady Rebecca, she's adorable! I'm dying from the CUTENESS! 😍🥰😍 I can just picture you and her together cosplaying Rapunzel!! 😊
Thanks!
@@LadyRebeccaFashions You're welcome! 🙂
How lovely ❤
Thanks!
This video is enabling my desire to buy my own American Girl doll and make every costume ever for her. 😍
@@mdksailormoon do it!! They are wonderful dolls.
You can find them really inexpensively secondhand, if you don't want to buy a brand new one!

Beautifully done! My daughter especially loves the accurate sleeves! 😻💜 Truly Me 125 makes for a perfect Rapunzel. So stunning.
Thanks!
Sooooo cute!
Thanks!
SO SO CUTE!!
Thanks!
It came out so well! I hope you can make your "human" version a better fit for you - you'd make such a cute pair!
Thanks! I think I might see if I can fix it up before comicon next year.
So ad😢. Love those sleeves.
Amazing and rather spectacular tbh. 🦄🌼🌺
Thanks!
