He has been asked by the Stranglers manager Sil Wilcox if the band can do a cover of this track last year. But the band rehearsed the track the first time together in February 2019 for this tour. Astonishing at least.
Like most of the covers the band have done over time , it works for them . The only one I've not liked is the M2 version of Summer in the city ...didn't work at all ....and nothing to do with Hugh not being in the band , that's long done and dusted .
@@jon62punk yes I agree but it's more of a replica than a cover.With 96 tears and all day all night the band put their own stamp on it.Perhaps that will happen if they record it as an album track.

As chevalblanc says it's by Spess.Fabulous song but a little disappointing it's not a Stranglers song when you thought it was.
