This is awesome I work in the same line of work. I’ve done work on all majority of our freeways in the inland empire 91, 15, 60. It’s still the same concept how we now we have better machines and faster machines.
My Grandfather built roads this way back in the 30's drove trucks on the job

I remember most of the highways around Jeff City were paved the exact same way in the 60's and 70's Just goes to show how outdated most of are roads are!

I'd say we do take road system for granted.
That being said a lot of the roadways are poor condition.
It doesn’t sound like the music was original to the film. I found it too loud and obtrusive
