I don't know Ctek charger. So, this son-1206D I think that It should charge battery with a lower voltage. I Will mod It to decrease the charge voltage, to be more secure for life battery. When we buy something is not cool to change it to It to work as expected. In this meaning I don't recommend this charger. It don't charge motorcycle batteries too because the charging current is too high for this type of battery.
@@playstation2bigs No. The max is 6A. For 12V/6Ah battery 6A is too high. For 12V/60Ah is ok. This Son-1206 don't adjust the output current to charge motorcycle batteries.
@@vohr56 i did tried on my motorcycle battery it worked few times but last time it kept charging untill i saw the battery swelled up i immediately disconnected the charge and at this time the battery completely dead i throw it out

Leandro Rodrigues hey man, I'm just helping, these instructions are crappy, a smart charger have different phases of charge and as I said it doesn't charge a damaged battery... As I know and if is a decent smart charger. Try to charge another battery with higher voltage than 10.5v and tell us if the charger works or not. If not is faulty. Other way is using a bridge rectifier and AC capacitor in series between the positives and give a bit charge to the battery to get more than 10.5v. and then use the smart charger. Good luck.

At this point I can not test because I discarded the battery and I do not have another one to test. Months before I tested this charger with other batteries and it worked well.

This charger is garbage---buy stuff like this from Lowe's or Home Depot cuz you can return it. This charger looks good but it's a piece of shit. Please save your money.
Hi Leandro pls help me , I am using the same charger I had charge 2 acid motorbike battery so far it's works but yesterday I wanted to charge BTX12BS nanogel battery when I plug in the charger with the battery it runs within 3 min it stop working. I press the test button in the battery indicate green it's ok. Then I press the second time indication shows Yellow need to charge . Then after for a while indication shows red from the battery. I just want to know is there anyway to charge nonagel battery using this same charger. Thank you
Hi Joe! This charger just work for batteries with 40Ah or more, if i'm not wrong. So, it isn't recommended for motorcycle batteries. The output current of this charger is high for motorcycle batteries.

O que notei é que ele utiliza uma tensão maior que 15V para carregar as baterias, o que é alto. Tem como fazer uma modificação nele para reduzir este valor. No youtube tem vídeos desta modificação.
Olá. Ele é todo automático. Não tem como escolher nenhuma função. Basicamente ele dá uma carga rápida na bateria e monitora e exibe a tensão e nível de carga da mesma.

I find these great to use easy light weight. I think your test in incorrect has to be plugged in to check actual voltage.

My problem with Son-1206D Battery charger is theres no output voltage. They do not test their product.
Smart charger don't star charging if the battery is under 10.5v because is sing of damage on the battery... read properly the instructions.

Yes, I did it. This Battery has a damage. With other batteries it worked as expected.

After I've made this video I've tested it with anoters batteries and the charger worked as expected. That battery on video was dead.
