I used to be there regularly hunting for parts in the 90s - one advantage of fixed prices for parts regardless of what car it came from was that something particularly rare could be bought cheap and resold in the Trading Post (and yes, I am so old I used to buy my cheap shitboxes from the Trading Post). I have seen some particularly rare things there, including a TC Cortina with a factory fitted Kent 1.6 litre (ex South Africa), an early 70s Fiat 850 van, a 60s era Opel Rekord A sedan, which looks vaguely like a shrunken HD Holden, and an early 70s Opel Rekord C Coupe, which looks like a shrunken HK Monaro. We also used to perform 'test' engine swaps onsite to see if things would fit before buying them. In South Africa a lot of small Datsuns were available with bigger L Series engines instead of the A series, and we swapped an entire front end, crossmember, struts, steering and all from a Datsun 180B into a 120Y, and found it all fit as though it was designed to, even to the point that there were 'dimples' pressed into the chassis rails right where the bigger crossmember would bolt on, as a drilling guide to make fitting it very easy!
I spent a LOT of time out there in the late 90s/early 2000s. Even bought a few cars out of there. Rescued a few Peugeot 504 that were “too good to wreck” , rebuilt them and sold for a decent profit. Paid a lot of my rent during my uni days doing that :)
Cunny Funts!! That’s my local, they let people just tear shit apart to get their bits so heaps of good things get wrecked in the process, but thin on good Ford bits these days! Good vid bro! 🤙🤙
If you go to pick a part in camberfield there is one car at the back which has been like fully smashed and the guys details and stuff was in it of like he’s injuries and it was pretty scary like there was a full list of head injuries.
The Subaru ute was had the back seat only in the USA and that was to get around the "chicken tax" but Toyota went one better they built a factory in the USA to build there utes
We had the surf in SA, 4Runners are around but I’ve seen heaps more surfs then I have 4Runners in SA. Not to say there are more surfs but definitely seen them more then the 4’s. Solid rigs either way tho
Those original A Class Mercs were very very good cars. Don’t judge by your subjective ideas of what “looks good”. The engineering in them was extremely innovative and they were very very successful. Ignore their sale performance in pissant irrelevant backwaters like Australia ;)
Based on your earlier comment That means your father was a sell out too since he bought his car brand new. No different to people today buying brand new.
I hate all the American terminology, Motor nope Engine, Negative 3 nope Minus 3. I give up on the young these days they are not Aussies but wanna be Americans. I swear. No pride.
Nothing better than walking around a wrecking yard!

This series is the best
nothing gets me frothing harder then a good abandoned rare car / wreckers vid
Good to see you guys still have self serve wrecking yards. Land values and insurance costs killed off the 3 we had around Sydney.

Great content there, Nathan.
There's another wreckers called u-pick car wreckers in Morwell gippsland, might be far to travel for you but could be worth a look
I used to work there back in the days
I remember about 25 years ago, going to Pinch a Part for a door handle for my ZG Fairlane, but they were all already broken.

The Capri outsold the MX5 every single year it was on sale.
The Clubsprint turbo was actually pretty decent.
Good job with the views on the last one. We're you expecting it to be number 1?

Nathan, We'd love to affiliate with you on our new product air pump with Jump starter. We just email for an inquiry.
WHERES THE EF CONTENT!
He's still getting his parts probably
Building a car and making the content actually takes time, car doesn’t build itself

Please let this be the last wrecker vid 😮💨 there’s only so much of the same type of vid one can take
