When it comes to incineroar, I think it's because wrestling culture is apparently quite popular in Hawaii. Which explains the battle royal dome. And tigers are a very popular animal to use for the designs of the masks for the wrestlers. Litten even has some patterns in its face that resemble the patterns of a mask with the alchemical symbol for sulfur, which is a highly flammable chemical that can be found in volcanos, which are quite common in Hawaii and in the Alola region (hence the fire type). And apparently humanoid supernatural felines related to either volcanos and/or thunders can also be found in hawaiian myths. Which relates to the reasons why pokemon like Incineroar and Zeraora exist in Alola. Also wrestlers toured as carnival attractions and one popular circus trick was making a lion or a tiger pass through a ring of fire. Which also relates to the fire type. Side note: I really hope they stop that because I kinda feel that's animal abuse. And I think the Galar starters look awesome. I love their themes and their personalities. And I don't have any problem with Rillaboom's drum. I love pokemon with unique battle styles. And the theme with the coalossal line is things related to coal, not trains. The first stage is a piece of coal with a miner hat, then a car full of coal, then coal kaiju that carries coal in its back, the gmax form is the entire coal mine with a giant furnace, the shiny version is based on a kind of high quality coal that is blue and the dex entry is a reference to a real world historic event where coal was extremely needed in UK due to a really harsh winter.
1:28:43 😂😂😂 THAT'S TRUE!! You literally made Ash command his Rillaboom to ditch it's drums and they got destroyed by G-max Fireball, like that is the funniest thing ever LMFAO!!!!

Hot take but I will never get the appeal behind Bidoof. I mean, it's mememable but even then, why this Pokemon specifically? It's looks like a bad caricature of a Beaver. And don't get me started on Bibarel, looks kinda ugly tho. Call me a Gen 3 and 5 bootlicker but both the Zigzagoon and Patrat line are much better. The former is much more iconic and cute as far Route 1 rodents design goes and the latter at least looks more inspiring as well interesting than the Bidoof line.
I feel like Pokemon are designed with toys in mind and those random things are like texture for the toy. Seriously the more powerful the Pokemon the more you can hold it like a hammer and smash other Pokemon... Think about Pikachus tail can be like pinched and picked up but the gen 5 legendary pokemon for example have a tail you can hold with your fist... If you're a small person... Smack that puppy down.
Gen 7 is GOATED. the games were good, pokemon are solid, game story phenomenal, and a pretty good anime. Alola is my favorite region. The worst pokemon in gen 7 for me would have to be gumshoos. My favorite, primarina and golisopod
Everyone forgets Abomasnow is the abominable snowman which is also a yeti
