so does that allow you to toggle back and forth from pen to cursor. I have a specific situation where I use the cursor a lot but want to be able to add in the pen instead of drawing with the mouse cursor. the pen needs to take the place of the mouse cursor for the drawing part.

I taught one-to-one on Zoom, daily, for almost a year, before biting the bullet and getting the Wacom tablet.I should have just done it a year ago. Thing is, I have an Apple Pencil (which is unbeatable in my opinion), but I prefer to use my laptop. Linking my iPad creates a third person in the meeting and we’re cut off at 40 minutes with free Zoom. Anyway, this works just great. No more writing maths with the finger pad on my laptop. It’s the perfect solution and at under £100, a must-have. I use it on the whiteboard, over PDF’s and PowerPoint. Love it!

Hello! I don't believe you can. To use the tablet on any application, the application must have annotation tools built-in, like the Draw tab in PowerPoint. Word doesn't have the same tools yet, so you can try downloading software that allows you to annotate over any window, page, or application.

Hi Michaela, you will need to record your screen with a screen recorder, and record yourself with a camera (camera in front of you, and green screen behind you). Now you have two videos, you just add these two videos in a video editor as two layers (make sure you are on the top layer). Camtasia is a good video editor for beginners.
How are you using the tablet without physically connecting it the laptop via the cable? I have been looking for ways to make it wireless as i hate the wires cluttering my workspace
Hi Jeswin! The One by Wacom is not wireless, you will see it is connected to the surface pro via USB. You can look for wireless devices to use if you do not like the wires!

We haven't had any of those issues yet. I do not always use the Wacom with the Surface though, because of the already existing features of the Surface.

Hi there, to use the tablet on any application, the application must have annotation tools built-in. For example, PowerPoint supports annotations but Teams does not. So you will not be able to annotate on the Teams interface. If the app doesn't have those tools, you can try downloading software that allows you to annotate over any window, page, or application.

Once we annotate using this pen during the presentation, how to remove it? I tried control-Z but it's not working. Pressing an escape button and discarding the changes is not an effective option. Please suggest. Thank you.
Hi Sagar, we suggest taking a look at your pen settings in the Wacom Driver. You can adjust the buttons on your pen to undo or to be an eraser. This should help you remove annotations more efficiently.

Hi there! When recording with the PowerPoint option, the annotations won't appear when you record in slide show mode. You can record using Loom, Teams, or Zoom instead and it will work out. Or, you can record through PowerPoint and annotate while you are still in Edit Mode of PowerPoint
I was trying to find the 'draw' tab in the powerpoint ribbon. After searching through microsoft help files, it seem the draw feature is only available for those who purchase a 365 subscription! That's crazy; I purchased a full version of Office 2016 and now I need to buy a monthly subscription on top of that??
Hi Barry, I am sorry to hear you will have to pay if you want access to the Draw tab in PowerPoint. Instead of paying for a monthly subscription, try out the free version on ClassPoint, you can have access to drawing capabilities when you present!

It's just a shame that all my presentations are on Apple's Keynote platform. I will just have to export them to PPT as needed.

Why she doesn't use the pencil function of the surface? This graphic tablet doesn't make sense in this case. To write directly on the screen is the way better solution and feels way more natural.
Great point, but normally we do use a pen when using the Surface Pro, but not all teachers are as lucky to have a tool like this so we wanted to show easy it can be!
Luckily we have a device with touch screen capabilities - some teachers do not have that luxury, but we still wanted to highlight how beneficial it could be for them!
why are you using a wacom table on a Windows Surface? is your surface touchscreen failing? I am looking for a wacom because I have been experiencing problems with my Windows Surface (I don't recommend windows surface btw, they are expensive and the quality is poor). Better buy a wacom.

Yes! Mouse and pen work fine together. You will have no issues.

I felt the small version was enough. It does take some getting used to, but once you have the hang of it, it is no problem!

I use two monitors, the slide show being shared on one and the presenter view on the other. Will this work with two monitors?

Hi there! When recording with the PowerPoint option, the annotations won't appear when you record in slide show mode. You can record using Loom, Teams, or Zoom instead and it will work out. Or, you can record through PowerPoint and annotate while you are still in Edit Mode of PowerPoint
I was trying to find the 'draw' tab in the powerpoint ribbon. After searching through microsoft help files, it seem the draw feature is only available for those who purchase a 365 subscription! That's crazy; I purchased a full version of Office 2016 and now I need to buy a monthly subscription on top of that??
Hi Barry, I am sorry to hear you will have to pay if you want access to the Draw tab in PowerPoint. Instead of paying for a monthly subscription, try out the free version on ClassPoint, you can have access to drawing capabilities when you present!
@@ClassPoint-Edcafe Yes my post was a bit premature. Seems there are other options out there. I've got Classpoint working now and it seems to satisfy almost all of my needs. It's just a shame that all my presentations are on Apple's Keynote platform. I will just have to export them to PPT as needed.

Why she doesn't use the pencil function of the surface? This graphic tablet doesn't make sense in this case. To write directly on the screen is the way better solution and feels way more natural.

Luckily we have a device with touch screen capabilities - some teachers do not have that luxury, but we still wanted to highlight how beneficial it could be for them!

why are you using a wacom table on a Windows Surface? is your surface touchscreen failing? I am looking for a wacom because I have been experiencing problems with my Windows Surface (I don't recommend windows surface btw, they are expensive and the quality is poor). Better buy a wacom.
Normally, we use a pen when using the Surface Pro, but we wanted to show how great a Wacom can be. Just an example that you can use on any device!
