I’ve never thought Rashford was that good. Ballhog. Terrible passer. Selfish. Bad attitude. And just a lack of energy- lazy ….and I always could count on him losing the ball when he dribbled - always.
Its honestly possible Rashford would have been still playing for United but been a driven and motivated player if Fergie had been there. A large part of the issue with him is the people around him. Fergie was, especially with young players, good at making sure those people weren't there. If I was going to reach, Rashford was raised by a single mother and its fairly likely someone in his "team" is a father figure because people do need father figures. There are a huge amount of players who talk of Alex being a father figure to them. At United, there was never a manager there long enough to get the aura to be that guy.

Manchester United seem to have very oddly constructed contracts with their players - them should be much more weighted towards team and invidual performance bonuses, and do also not seem to include fines as disciplinary, neither a possibility to terminate the contract at a certain number of violations when players do not follow the directives that the physio team prescribe for optimal performance. Watch de bruyne, son, odegaard, van djik etc, they are constantly giving instructions, trying to push their teammates to do more in games, when an attack fails they simply say it's fine, let's do it again. My boss, my colleagues and the clients I work for don't care what I do in my personal life. They care about how I perform my job. At the end of the day that is how I will be perceived. I worked hard gave an honest account of myself every day, and took responsibility for my actions at work. That is an indication of good character and everything else you do, and how you are perceived stems from that. United don't pay Rashford so he can use his fame as a footballer to do whatever else he wants to do in his private life.

New manager playing different style to the previous manager will/should benefit more from time on the training ground rather than 2-3 games in a week. I'm hoping tomorrow's game is cancelled tbh, that week of full training could be gold dust for Amorim working with the squad to implement his system. I've noticed that performances & results have fallen off a cliff during the hectic Xmas schedule. New manager playing different style to the previous manager will/should benefit more from time on the training ground rather than 2-3 games in a week. A winter week off could be exactly what we need, fly them straight out somewhere warm to train & clear the heads.

I know you touch on it in the vid, but people need to read between the lines RE Rashford. Doesn't take much connection of dots between the regular similar stories, allegations, evidence on the park, the inconsistency, effort, body language etc and the almost weird level of protection the club and certain people gave him over a long period.
It's true you can't actually *control* what people think about you.
However, you can *influence* and "correct*, to some degree, their views by your words and actions.

No club or employer want to pick up a lazy player, not even on loan. Rashford incredibly ungrateful to United for monetarily rewarding him. He's just taking the cash and half ass his job as a professional athlete. United is probably stuck paying Rashford for the entirety of his contract so he can languish on the bench (if he even make selection)
