It's so painfully obvious that Mikey is a plant, probably some theater kid from NYC trying to add to his resume. And as someone who grew up in a lobstering family in Maine, this is just *hilarious*
Charles looks like "a frumpier version of Jeff Foxworthy"-- I honestly thought the same thing back when I actually (embarrassed to say) watched the show when it was still on.
Oh man I used to love this show lol Yeah it's likely heavily scripted but after watching some of the shit that Gordon Ramsay and Robert Irvine dealt with in their restaurant renovation shows, it could honestly be real. Some restaurant owners and their employees are nuts
I remember I took over as a manager of a spare parts shop who was going computerised and I was tasked with stock taking to put quantities into the computer. I said ok we close for 2 days, Sat and Sun, we get the casual guy in, the owner, his wife, my wife and bosses adult daughter, we are each in charge of an aisle, start at the front, work to the back, start at 6am, have it all counted by lunch, then I’ll work both days to put in all barcodes, all quantities, all sale prices and all buy prices. Nope, no way. I’m not closing 2 days, I’m not paying everyone 6hrs to come in and I’m not paying you all that time to do all the work. Mkay well I’ll enter products into the computer as we get them, but I’m not touching anything already on the shelf because I’ll count X number of filters, and we will sell 3 before I get to enter them and we will be worse than we were before.

You might want to give Restaurant Stakeout or Catch A Contractor a go. I have yet to see those reviewed.

Boomers think stuff like this is real and then yell at the 16 year old Applebees server because Happy Hour ended

Crustacean Caper & Lobster Whisperer
As someone who has sold lobsters before, I have to point out that the lobsters that guy is “stealing” are already limp and dead.
So, he's just been throwing dead lobsters in the ocean then?
Annnnnnd…my day just got much better.
will you ever do a book tour for the stuff behind you?
If people are interested, sure!
