You should make sleeves that have extra pockets to put usb keys, usb adapters, headphones and other small accessories in. You don't want them down in the sleeve with the laptop causing scratches on your machine.
Isn't that what distinguishes a sleeve from a full case? I would consider a sleeve merely a protective cover when your laptop is being carried in a bag. If you want a bag to contain more such as a mouse, charger, cables etc, a more substantial laptop case or bag is more applicable.
I've been looking for a laptop case for my surface laptop, but every single channel I have look at all use apple laptops. Lol it's so hard to by tech accessories, for non Apple products, because all these UA-cam just review Apple related things. :(

The holes at the bottom of the Bellroy Laptop Sleeve are for ventilation to prevent overheating, but they might allow dust and scratches if you carry small items like keys in the same bag. You can use a protective inner sleeve or microfiber cloth to address this:)

Hi, just be careful and avoid putting STRONG magnets near sensitive components such as traditional hard drives as it can erase the data on the disk. SSDs don't use magnetic disks so they should be safe. Cheers!

I'd say most of these are made of decent materials that will repel water to some degree (Nomad leather will do well). However, none of them can ensure water wont get inside. Most have some opening somewhere that water could seep into. The Incase Icon might have the best seal overall but wouldn't count on these to stop water from getting in. Unless you've got one with a water resistant zipper closure. Hope that helps - Ed

It's for scratches. If you have a backpack and you have something that can scratch your computer, a sleeve is good.
