Dude put a minimum for his opponents in his contract. I've never heard of anyone doing anything like that in all of combat or even all sports. It's actually inspiring.

Honestly, I doubt they care about “legacy” in the same way fans do. They probably want respect among other fighters, money, and some fame. You can do that in organizations outside of the UFC.

Honest question, what happens if his PPV buys fall under 200k? How will that conversation go? What free agent HW is a draw that he can fight? We see promotions go under when they pay more than they get in sales. This deal may be great for Francis and his PFL opponents but I feel like this isn’t a good deal for PFL in the long run.

I agree with you 100 percent they made Francis the chairman of something that doesn't even exist and he is such a poor businessman that he actually accepted this. Also I do believe the PFL will lose money on Francis simply because Francis is not a draw, he won't bring in the amount of money they're paying him.

Or just thinking realistically. How many PFL ppvs have you bought? Who do you know who's pumped when a PFL fight is coming up? PFL sold 100k ppvs at 49$. 5 million total PPV last time they had one. So they better sell at least double or triple to make money.
