From your original minds eye image you've created a uniquely beautiful vardo travel cabin! Your commitment and craftwork built this very special place, one you know in every detail, and what lovely details they are, from the windows, doors, table and roof bows, wherever the eye falls there's fine details. Not only have you built your beautiful vardo travel cabin, you've a closer friendship with your mom, priceless experiences and greater confidence and belief! Thank you for sharing your video.
I've been wanting to build a tiny house for several years. Getting ready to retire and thinking it's time... Thanks for sharing your beautiful creation!
This is awesome and I love your creativity in your build. That window over the bed is amazing! Great Job! I just started my build this weekend. TY for sharing your masterpiece! Happy Travels!
The bed was placed up high enough on the sloping walls to create the length needed for a twin sized mattress. The standing floor area is 55" long x 51" wide (this is infringed on a bit by the seat boxes. The bottom of the caravan is 8' x 4' 9" . The porch sticks out another 14".
I'm 'BACK' again...4yrs later....PLEASE give us an update...!!! On the camper/vargo...Your life...!! THANKS...Hope your still living your dream !!! God Bless.........
The Vardo is doing well, thanks for asking! It is a little too tiny to be livable for two people and a dog, in a cold climate. I have however been using it as a music recording studio. You can check out some of my music on this channel :)
Absolutely wonderful work. I love it you should be so proud of yourself such an achievement if you don’t mind I am going to build one very similar. Do you have any plans and would you mind if I asked you to share. Love from Ireland I can just imagine myself and my little dachshund Teddy trundling along through the Irish country side kindest regards Pat.
Thankyou! And yes please do, I think it would fit in well in Ireland! And sorry I don't really have any concrete plans, I just sort of sketched it out on graph paper and figured out my dimensions and angles.
Super job! Any tips you would like to add on how you put up the curved Baltic birch ply on the ceilings? Looks like it would have been a pain without some sort of jig or form. Also like the Sweet Peas. In my opinion the best smelling and most under-rated flower of all time.
I used door skins for the ceilings. There is a seem down the middle, so the curve is not as bad as it looks.... just bent it slowly. It was actually harder to bend the trim which follows the curve of the beams and covers the gap between the door skins and beam.. I broke quite a few pieces of trim doing this : -)
jordyn, iloved your place very much.I am glad that your dream come true,I hope mine will too,I wish you love and lots of happpiness, and sweet days to com ,peace to you and respect, you give adreamy sister abig hope in life.
OK, your design and execution matches my drawings pretty closely. I'd be curious to know what angle you set the walls above the ledge. If you have any measurements you'd like to share, please PM me. I'm working on a wagon that will be extended 2 feet above the ledge with a folding Queen Mattress. The trailer is a 5' X 8'. I am putting a "privacy closet" at the back (for my wife). Any info on your build would be great. Nice work
Agh sorry I never saw this..... I am actually not sure how much it weighs, I tried to cut down weight however I could, using 2x2 framing, and no outside siding. Good luck with yours!
Nice job! Takes a lot of chutzpah to do what you've done, I'm impressed. One question, what is that black thing underneath the seat? Is it an electric heater or a charger/controller?
The caravan does not have hot water. A hand pump on the counter is connected to a water tank stored in the cabinet below. Cold water can be pumped from it into the bowl on the counter top.
Have you ever taken your camper to an RV park? I was just curious if they allow these DIY campers in RV parks? I plan on making one but not sure if the RV parks will let me in.
It's pretty hard for me to estimate the cost because so much of the material was recycled.. The trailer was a bit of a wreck when I got it, but a friend helped me weld it and I spent time sanding and refinishing it. The insulation came out of a tear down. The side windows were recycled, so were the cupboard doors. The cushions were cut from an old foam bed and recovered. The pine interior was left over from another project. The flooring came from the recycle store. My mom built the stained glass windows as a present for me. The door was built from left over flooring. I shopped around and found a great price on the plywood. Only things I can think of that I paid full price for were some of the 2 x 4's, roofing and hardware. I worked on it weekends and after school when not busy with other things and my mom helped. It took 10 months.
Hey Guys! Check out my newest video to see a tour of the caravan and my channel to see some of the music I have been recording in it 🎵😊
I must have watched this video hundreds of times and now getting around to making one
Thats awesome! Good luck!
Well is it built? Looking to do one myself

How utterly charming!
Love the aubergine/sage green color scheme.
Super cute, you did a great job!
Thanks! 🙏
AWESOME Job! So Pretty!
That's really cute and well done. It's built on a trailer roughly the size of a teardrop trailer, but much more functional.
Thanks for the video, enjoy your caravan.
came for the cuteness of the caravan, stayed for the 5 / 4 timing of the music.
Thankyou!
You inspire me to make this project.

Great, excellent job
Jolly nice.
Just beautiful! How did you learn all of the skills that were needed to build this?
Thank you! My mom taught me a lot and helped me out along the way, I also watched youtube to figure things out!
Love this
Thankyou!
I love it
how about an update on the Shepards hut :)
Well done xox
I love it.
Nice
Thankyou!
love it
Spray foam the cracks shut in between framing and foam pieces so no air penetrates ..

The only person that I was able to find an angle for stated 7-9 degrees. But I have yet to verify this.
This is fanastic. I am working on one now. Can you tell me how much it weighs?
Agh sorry I never saw this..... I am actually not sure how much it weighs, I tried to cut down weight however I could, using 2x2 framing, and no outside siding. Good luck with yours!
Very nice! Great Job! What was the size of your bed and floor area?
Nice job! Takes a lot of chutzpah to do what you've done, I'm impressed. One question, what is that black thing underneath the seat? Is it an electric heater or a charger/controller?
Under the seat is the power converter which runs 12 volt lights and allows me to plug in for power.
Beautiful, very impressive! Just wondering, how is your water supply set up?
The caravan does not have hot water. A hand pump on the counter is connected to a water tank stored in the cabinet below. Cold water can be pumped from it into the bowl on the counter top.
Cool, thanks for replying!
What did you use for roofing?
Just sheet metal roofing.
@@rainyisland1 beautiful!! Checkout my tiny house! Might be the 7th video down.
Have you ever taken your camper to an RV park? I was just curious if they allow these DIY campers in RV parks? I plan on making one but not sure if the RV parks will let me in.
No I have taken it various places but always moved it slowly and carefully. Not sure how it would do on a highway!
Great Caravan. How much $ did it cost and how many hrs to build? I want to build one n need to know, if u don't mind?
