The World of Sonic Adventure 2 Was Not Made for People

We explore the world of Sonic Adventure 2, specifically the parts that don't make sense. And then we ramble for a bit.

EDIT: holy shit this is way longer than i thought it would be, the ideas really roll out huh?
What if.. a lot of the people of this world enjoy pulling crazy stunts just like sonic and his friends? If the gun truck explains anything, there is at least a portion of the people who share the same drive for being as wacky as the main cast. I mean sure, sonic may be the "fastest" thing alive, but many of his own anthropomorphic animal friends at this point in the canon don't have any trademark special powers of their own, i.e. amy, big, and much of the extended universe cast, yet despite this, they all manage to get into these crazy scenarios anyway. I'd imagine many of the humans of this world share this drive for being totally rad™ and hence build over the top structures for not only sonic to run around on, but anyone. Humans in real life have pulled off some mind blowing things, and maybe there are just a lot more of those kinds of talented people in sonic's world like parkourists and acrobats with the desire to pull off over the top and risky feats, so they construct the world with this in mind. Plus, do you really have to be a cartoon animal to have special natural skills? Maybe a lot of humans even have their own amplified abilities that we just don't know about. If an otherwise relatively unassuming person like eggman can have a 300 point iq, then I'm sure there are probably humans with heightened reaction time, humans with increased stamina, sense of perception, greater muscle capabilities, and more, all exaggerated to fit the world sonic lives in. After all, I always thought the inclusion of just normal, typical human people in a world with both sonic, a wacky looking animal, and eggman, a wacky looking person, always felt strange. So maybe there are more like them?
Tldr: It's a 90s world, and sonic's just living in it.
