This has very quickly become one of my favorite channels! The filming and editing is on point! Keep up the good work! Loving the late season myself here in Arkansas!!
👍👍 I usually don’t take does until after the second rut unless there’s a real old one gives me a shot. There’s too many where we hunt open range low fence. We can take 4 does each and after the ruts are done there’s normally 8-10 at least taken. And it doesn’t seem to change the overall count next year. Gotta fill the freezer to offset all the $ spent, lol.
Taking does around here is very important to keep the population healthy. This one turned out to be a buck, but it's still good to harvest deer to help the overall herd health. There's too many deer in a lot of my state. Unlimited archery doe tags for residents yet not enough people kill anything more than their 1-2 bucks.
I have the basic muddy camera arm from amazon, cheap and heavy but works for the price. I use a phone clamp screwed into the base plate to hold the phone.
Not sure if would done a mouth bleet when they just got over with high pressure rifle but I could see the deers reaction but congrats meat in the freezer, I heard the wack of the arrow, good shot. It worked out...
I use 3 sticks with a 2-step aider on the bottom and 2, 1-step aiders on the other two. I generally hunt 12-15ish feet up a tree (at my feet). Cover is more important than height though is what I always try to say.
lol they are...the ones that make it through the season around here on public are pretty educated, as you can see by this one that had already been shot once. I like waiting till late season to harvest any fawns. By mid December they actually have a little meat on their bones and the cold weather makes meat care a piece of cake.
