I think I'm even more bullish on River Financial than you. I can't say enough good things about it. Its designed by bitcoiners for bitcoiners and it's very well designed.
Could you do a video comparing all the different node implementations, I am somewhat confused as to why you would go for citadel over EmbassyOS for example.
Ian, I just watched your beginner series. I'm also preparing to purchase BTC very soon. My question is, is River Financial the same as Swan, which you mentioned in the now four year old series?
I would say they're comparable from an overall reputational and functionality standpoint, though I would personally recommend River as they run all their own infrastructure in-house
Yea I think any buy is unfortunately subject to the 7 day hold support.river.com/kb/guide/en/when-can-i-send-my-bitcoin-from-river-pM6iUh4Rz5/Steps/2122185#:~:text=Any%20ACH%20transfer%20that%20you,for%20withdrawal%20within%207%20days.
I like that they're bitcoin only. Too bad it's U.S. only. 1.2% fee isn't cheap. On recurring, could be interesting, however be aware "Recurring buy orders will have zero fees starting seven days after the order is set up. For a daily or hourly recurring order, the 8th day and onward will be zero-fee.".

My river account was locked what can I do to get it back?
Hm have you reached out to their support? Why was it locked?
Can I add my PayPal account in the add bank option?
I don't think so unfortunately
@@IanMajor okay thanks
What about I open a new bank I’m thinking flagstar that should work out fine right?
Let’s say you get a total of 5k on your first purchase, do you have to wait for 7days to be able to send it out?

Good points on the recurring buys. Have you tried Bull Bitcoin up there? I’ve always wanted to try them out but similarly can’t 😭
Their fees (Bull Bitcoin) are higher than I can get elsewhere, so no haven't. @@IanMajor
Ian, can you do a video on how to verify your computer does not have any malware on it watching for bitcoin wallets?
Good suggestion and one that will require some more research but will see what I can find!
@@IanMajor thanks
thanks for your efforts🌹
