She is an inspiration to anyone who has ever battled the forces of depression and despair. For someone who was written off as the hopeless addict (against the early image of the golden girl at the top of her game), the hard life finally lost its hold on her soul. Brava. Brava.
In reading three of her books Marianne is just as lovely today as she was yesterday. Marianne is very intelligent. She make it through he additions and we are lucky to still have her.

Marianne Faithful was considered extra special when she first came out, a real lady and attractive, her voice special, sad her life was mostly would end up in drugs and her son went to live with her ex, ...she lived while many others died, she is factual about how drugs make her life a living hell, hope all listen, as this was the 60's era of Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, drugs are not the way to go in life, and it will not make you happy at all, it is only and escape that the problems are there when you come back to normal again, ......

I think you both need to really think about the things you say. Playing the blame game is juvenile. Marianne was young, impressionable and she made many mistakes. Everyone fucks up, and the fact that she came out of it like she did is a bloody miracle. She made her choices and she survived, and now knows better.
You think people that do drugs and become fame are not hard working people. There are millions out there that are very good. Think about it again. She could have been replaced but that girl never gave up, had a vision and she was until today great. There are very rich people out there and work 16 hours a day and do drugs and are decent.
