Great Video !!! Extremely informational !! I just purchased a 2024 HR-V sport. Apple car play works great as far as receiving texts and calls. Bluetooth works as far as calls, but I can't get the texts to come up on the screen or be announced that I have one in Bluetooth. I have tried everything... HELP !!!
Thanks for the question. To change that you will need to change settings on your phone. Look under settings, then find your messaging app and click on it. Once there, look for Notifications, click on that. From there you can turn on or off messages in CarPlay, you can also click on Show Previews so the first part of your text shows up. I got my Honda HRV today, I was trying to connect the phone to the screen following your instructions but i did not allowed me saying something like "....unable to connect with the car in motion" and the car was not in motion, I was in my garage in parking
Thanks for the question. Ok that should not have happened if you were in park. Three ideas here for you to think about
1: try turning off the vehicle, leave it off for at least one minute, then restart it and try again
2: try (if it gives you that message) to shift into drive or reverse then back to park and try reconnecting again
3: take it back to the dealership and have it fixed under warranty as something is not correct.

I had the same problem and I had to put the parking break on for it to register it was in park.

In my 2020 Civic LX i could change the wallpaper to a photo of just about anything...my dog, etc. Is there a way to do that on my new 2023 H-RV ?

I cant hear my gps when i connect my android, what can i do to fix that? I can see the map and i cant hear it
Thanks for the question. I have 2 ideas that might fix the issue:1. On the infotainment screen, when google maps is running, there is a volume icon on the top right of the screen, tap it and make sure the volume is on and not muted. 2. Turn the volume of your phone up to 3/4 (just in case the phones volume was turned all the way down. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@TwoGuysandaRide I tried that, but it didnt work either. When it go to bluetooth menu, I have the options of calls, audio and contact access, all this works in Bluetooth but when it connect my phone to the car with the USB cable the audio option on the phone menu gets disconnected. The music and phine works, but it is inly rhe gps audio that doesnt work. I hope you can help me. I dont know what ese to do. Thank you
Ok try this. Go into your phones settings, look for navigation settings and click on it. In here you should be able to turn on two features 1. Play voice over Bluetooth, and 2. Play voice during phone calls. Turn these features on. Thanks for watching!

Hello, how do you get the two white lanes to appear under the mph# on dashboard, when you go outside of the lane the lane will turn orange and steering wheel will jerk back. Tia

I just bought 23Hrv, and I have a problem that the headlights are very bright at night, so many cars coming from the opposite side mistakenly think that I turn on the high beam. Is there any way to solve this problem?
Congratulations on your new ride and thanks for the question. Yes there is a way, manually, to adjust the height of your headlamps but you would want to take it to the dealership and have them check them and then adjust as necessary. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Congratulations on your new ride, and the compliment! not sure if what you stated was a question or you had figured it out from watching the video, but in case it was a question here is the answer. Only the top trim level EX-L comes with Sirius xm built in and none of the terms m levels come with built in navigation. However, through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto you can use the Sirius xm app from your phone, and you can use almost any navigation app you want from your phone in your car. If you watch the video from about 23:45 you’ll see how to hook your phone up and use Apple CarPlay. If your an Android user you can follow the same steps to get it set up. Just watch the prompts on your phone and on the infotainment screen. Also if you haven’t already, then download the Sirius xm app on your phone and sign in on the app. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! I

I just got a Honda CRV EX 2023 and man I didn't know how to save a station into the favorites menu, I didn't even know it was a favorites menu, in other video somewhere the guy says is the strongest stations in my area (which is a lie).
That click and hold trick is what I was looking for.
I wish it would scan and actually set the strongest stations for me, that would be much easier

I have HRV 2023 my problem is the remote i can reach 40meters to warm up especialy winter time here in Alaska.My work employee parking very far.I asking you if have setting for remote to adjust more meters?I asked Honda they said that is already design.

How do you reboot the infotainment center? I keep losing connectivity for CarPlay and I know it’s not an issue with phone my cord.
I had the same issue with my 2021 CRV. Had to go to the dealer for the update and reboot
@@TwoGuysandaRidedid that solve it for you? It’s hard to get to the dealer but I’ll make it a priority. Tired calling Apple and Honda and no fix.

@@TwoGuysandaRide like a lemon law trade out for same car (that doesn’t have issue) or a different car entirely? Either way, seems they couldn’t solve the issue with you initial vehicle? Sorry for all the questions. Been dealing with Apple and Honda.
I've noticed a big difference when it comes to the fade out/in while playing route anouncements in carplay. See the step-by-step below:
1- Music is playing normally...
2- Music fades out (only the right speaker plays the song in a low volume)
3- Siri/Waze starts providing directions (seems to use both speakers (left+right) in a regular volume - higher than the music)
4- As soon as Siri/Waze ends this announcement, ONLY the right speaker comes back with the music playing using the regular volume
5- After 1 or 2 seconds, the left speaker comes back to its regular volume and catchs up with the song.
So, the main change in behavior were steps 4 and 5.. imagine getting out of a pool with a lot of water in one ear.. that's the exactly feeling after every announcement hehehe then after 1 or 2 seconds, the water gets out, and we are back to business.

Thanks for the question. We did not experience this during our time with the car. You may want to see if there’s an update, try resetting the infotainment system to its defaults, or if non of those work, I would suggest taking it in and having it looked at under warranty. Thanks for watching !
Even though I connected the phone with the USB cable, I can't see my phone's screen on the touchscreen. I only see maps.
Thanks for the comment. I take it your seeing a map from one of your phone’s navigation apps. In that case just swipe left or press the button on the bottom left of the screen that has all the little squares on it and it should then show you the rest of your apps. If this still does not work. Unplug your phone from the cars usb port and try plugging it in again, you should get a message saying to connect with Apple CarPlay or Android auto, press the Connect button (just below the infotainment screen it’s a physical button) now you should see all the apps from your phone that will work with the infotainment system. What happens if my apple car play isnt showing my maps and current song on spotify? How do i reset? I tried a factory reset, but that didnt work.
Thanks for the question. If you tried a factory reset, then you’ve done what you can in terms of resetting the system. I’m wondering if you recently updated your iPhone and that the update may be causing the issues? Try restarting your iPhone and see if that clears up the issues. Another idea is to see if there are updates on your phone apps especially Spotify Also you could try checking for updates for the vehicles infotainment system. If you restart your phone, this might be a good time to completely unpair your phone from the vehicle in Bluetooth settings ( if you used that at some point to connect to the vehicle) find the one that corresponds to your vehicle, click on the blue “I” and tell it to forget the vehicle. Then once you’ve restarted your phone, made any updates to Spotify available, checked for and run any updates for the infotainment system, then repair your phone via Bluetooth, then try Apple CarPlay again and see if anything got fixed. Hello, i can't connect my phone to car to have navigation. I am confused because do you need both Bluetooth and USB to have navigation?I saw on screen:" no device connected".ia m using g Galaxy S10. And I want to use map on screen car
Thanks for the question. You only need a usb connection to run android auto. You should be able to connect your android phone to the vehicle using a usb cable, wait a few seconds and Android Auto should start and from there you can use the navigation apps that are on your phone, via the touch screen in your car. . So Daylight savings messed up my clock. Am I able to fix the clock?
On your infotainment screen, just push on the actual read out for the clock and it will bring up your settings adjustment and from there you can change your time. Thanks for watching.
