I ran from the start point straight to Woodgard and stole the land! Flame is at level 3 and I live in that epic church, got a farm and honey on tap. Currently restoring the church back to its former glory. Loving this game 👍🏼
Strawberries give +3 health regen, litter the ground in the revelwood area. Cheesing runes for upgrades isn't necessary as you can easily get more than enough through simply playing the game, even if you respec from time to time for a gathering vs combat trip. I've got about 500+ excess runes simply from cheese free drops. If you take over a house don't destroy everything inside as some of that clutter will be boosting the comfort level.
if you want and have like 2-3 free altar on hand you can like infinite sky bridge around (alternating them around and you can place them even on platforms in the sky) or even make a sky base i dont know how far up could you build with this method tho
something i recently realized, those random flame altars u come across that u cant interact with, are actually respawn points if u get close enough for it to light up.
Raw dmg is important but the epic bow was a short-bow. Generally if you run archer build w/o any specialization in melee You do want a decent short-bow. They have less raw dmg but they are twice as fast making them viable in closer encounters. Longbow is just too slow and might make you overwhelmed in places like corridors.
Ahh man wish I watched ur vid before cuz I just bought a server off g-portal so could of saved some money lol. Oh well. I'm happy with it the server runs perfect.
I guess you didn't realize you don't need a flame alter to travel back to your base. It is nice for traveling back to where you were though. You can fast travel to anywhere there is a fast travel point, just by opening the map and clicking it.
Under "Homejacking," you feature the Blue Goblet Tavern. Where is it? Your idea to take it over is our next mission, but we haven't found it. Can you give us a clue? Nearest landmark, maybe? Thanks a ton, again, brother!
I just downloaded this game this morning. I built my first shack-base and I’ve yet to craft any armor or weapons. I got a sword from a baddy n i’m having a blast lol.
How's your performance? I have tried both Windowed & Fullscreen at 3440x1440p resolution with all max settings both with & without DLSS - Steam overlay states I'm getting around 100 FPS but it feels jittery, almost like 60 FPS. I have a 4090 & 5800X3D for reference. Only way to get somewhat smooth looking frames is enabling DLSS & also turning on Vsync. With that I get around 120 FPS but it feels more like 80ish with the occasional jitter.
My problem is. (380ti but doeasnr really matter) even if i play all settings low, fps cap and 720p my gpu gets quickly over 75c. I didnt had these issue in any other game
Gonna be honest I have vsync off always, idk why I just read bad stuff about it :D FOV on max, everything else on Quality - Anti Aliasing FSR2, Distant Objects balanced RTX 4090 so not the best 'average reference' but the game is insanely smooth for me with everything maxed out basically (while recording these videos for this quality upload as well)
You can also not break anything at all and climb the ladder at the back of the building... i think the image was just for explanation, not a guide on doing that particular poi. There is often alternative entrances to things, don't assume you have to go through a door.
I've watched a lot of guides for this game. When every guide tells you to get the double jump on the skill tree, the devs should probably just give it to you automatically. If EVERY build needs to get those specific abilities on the skill tree right away, then the beginning of every game will always feel the same. You will always harvest the same materials, level up doing the same things, and spend your points on the same abilities. I assume they want to avoid this.
You don't need double jump at all but i get your point. I'd say they should bury it deeper in the skill tree. That would also accomplish the goal of diversifying the early game.
Double jump would be useful for sure but you don't "need" to take it. I'd say that the vertical boost for the glider at the cost of mana is a more useful skill. Guide videos like this should be used for guidance not taken carte blanche as thing you have to do because the fate of the universe depends on it.
@@04AMofficial thanks sir. I got a 8gb card and my friend a 16gb. But we both have the same game quality... I thought mine was too low but seems more like a game optimization issue to me...
Why your game runs very smoothly? I have 32gb ram, 3070 8gb, i7 12700k, all in performance, for some reason the game looks like running between 40-60 fps max, while Steam/Nvidia Overlay shows 130+fps
I respectfully disagree on the part of focusing on raw dmg with bows. Draw time is a huge factor when playing singleplayer and kiting enemies (unless you cheese the AI and shoot mobs from a roof then I can see why you would want to focus on power) PS: why not mention strawberries for health Regen ? They are better than purple berries. Same goes for sugar cane. Better than honey. And easier to farm.
This guide was made on the first days, now Im not eating honey or strawberry but grilled Yucca :P raw damage is best for archers as stamina is not the issue, arrows are- they are expensive and you better make em count- low dmg shortbows are just not worth it. Bandages are best for regen, the health regen aura skill even better so- permanent insane health regen
Be sure to first unlock that quest I talk about. Pick up the NPC's in this order, then do Strengthen the Flame- Talk with all NPC's and you should have the new NPC quests
So I tried starting a new character after grinding out a starter and it just gives me the same character with the same level showing all of the map from the first character…its really frustrating I can’t start a brand new clean slate character in single/private mode.
Yes you can. You just delete the old character out in the menu, and delete the save point. I did that and started over from scratch. It took a bit to figure it out. It's two things you need to delete. First character then save point.
it is a really stupid system that they hopefully correct, but a better alternative to your method, would be to rename the old files instead of deleting them, just in case you want to go back to it eventually.@@johnpoulsen77
TBH most of this "ESSENTIAL Tips & Tricks" is BASIC knowledge when "just play" the game... maybe better call it "Early game Tips" or "New player Tips" instead, because they are not "essential" at all!
You usually make good tip videos, but this isn't one. Some good tips in here, but some are just your incorrect opinion on what's useful, and I'm not sure why you put them in a video... Major tip that may well be patched soon: Using wand + ward you can hold block and spam attack and block 100% of attacks. I assume its to do with wand attack speed means your shield/ward is actually 'always up'. This works partially with some melee weapons, but not 100% More general advice than tip: Some of the 'side quests' the NPC's send you on are worth doing. You can find unique gear that you absolutely want, and its the only way to get them. So don't just focus on the main quest line, investigate anything interesting.
this game is too much like all the worst of elden ring, bull$hit corpse runs, the awful "shroud" which you can't see where you are going and you drop into the red insta-death places where you can't recover your corpse from
I have to disagree and agree with randomhero- upgrade your Shroud level to prevent those insta deaths, they are supposed to be like that as the game protects you from higher level places you aren't supposed to visit until you're ready for them.

Sweet man, enjoy your adventures there ^^
good video, I love the Blue Goblet tavern, I repo"d and became the new owner and turned it into my home :)
I have been staying at the blue goblet tavern and so far i have a hour of rested bonus. That was the best move i made

YES on the base tour, brother! We must see!
Thats a deal!
@@04AMofficial Where is the Blue Goblet Tavern located? We want to "Homejack" it, as you suggested, but no map or wiki has ever heard of it. Just you.

You can also often break doors with your felling axe. I find it to generally be faster than pickaxing the walls.
Wow this is great!

@@04AMofficial Awesome.
"This stupid lamp" lol. Thanks for the tips.
I know right :D no problemo!
i wish you could rename the altars from home to a form of poi name
You can just logout in the shroud, then log back in to quick travel to your base.
I am SO glad that thus game doesn't work like Valheim in terms of fast travel being barred if you're holding ore/metal etc.
Great video, thanks!

How did you place your bed in a 45° angle in your crib? I thought it's 90 degrees only? That would be a game changer! :o
Turn it around with holding R/rotation key and middle mouse button like you do with Workbench, fire etc!
ooomg, thank you man. I can't believe i always just tapped r for 90 degrees rotation. lol @@04AMofficial
Hey I love your videos man thank you so much for some really useful tips and may I ask can you please share the loaction for the iron mine 😢
Yes!
For the first tip, you can literally break the window bars and hop through the window :D
Pretty sure the house used as an example actually has a climbable net on the back wall.
You can also not break anything at all and climb the ladder at the back of the building... i think the image was just for explanation, not a guide on doing that particular poi.
There is often alternative entrances to things, don't assume you have to go through a door.
A glider tower? Brilliant!
right??? game changer.
Yeah, building towers at strategic waypoints around the map seems pretty sweet
Yessir!
you can just make a sky base if you alternate two altar and build up with stairs and platforms
@@joshholmes1372 just make a sky base easy enough
If you claim a building does it stop chest/item spawn on reload?
Yes, it prevents chests etc. From respawning, also the terrain etc. Does not “regenerate”
strawberry gives +3 regen, so use that instead the blueberry
I use a passive health regen aura now ^^
Thank you so much :)
My pleasure!

Double jump is a 'later' game thing. you don't need it in every build. But IMO, you will end up with it when maxed out for sure.
Or at least make it one of the first things you can choose and then work your way down a particular path.
Yes! Make it 1 Skill Point.@@shadyrebob5999

How close do you have to put items together for the comfort bonus
They don't have to be very close, just all at the same Flame Shrine I think!
